You remember my outfit from earlier, right? Well, after helping my Mom, I came home and did a few things around the house before heading over to my best friend’s house for take-out and wine. I wanted to dress up this shirt a bit (it’s too bad that you can’t see the gingham pattern very well) so when I eyed my favorite high-waisted floral skirt hanging in my closet, I decided to see what the combo of red and white gingham and pink and orange floral would look like together. Next, I added my bright green purse for a fun pop of color, popped my collar for kicks and slipped on my woven wooden wedges. I felt very 1950’s and loved every second of it! Outfit Remix, Part 2: Jumper + Sundress
I had fun with this outfit and remixed the heck out of it. As the day went on and the sun started to set, I wanted another layer on in case it started to get a chilly out. I already had my black jumper on, so I just slipped my black sundress on over it, then folded the top part of it underneath and belted the waist with my new blue belt from H&M. The great part is, because the skirt of the dress is so full and roomy, nothing bunched up underneath and it turned out to be a very comfortable and easy ensemble. And, by switching up the scarf and earrings and removing the sunglasses, it gave the outfit a whole new feel.

Outfit Remix, Part 1: Black Jumper
Just a fun, cool outfit for summer. I love this black jumper and have gotten a lot of great wear out of it. I enlisted my new blue belt to add a little pop of color and added the huge glasses and head wrap as a last minute touch for fun. I have an idea of how to remix this look even further, so check back this afternoon to see what I came up with!

Outfit Remix: Floral Onesie and Blue Skirt
Hello dearies! So, remember when I wore this flowery number with my black skirt a few weeks ago, and then before that when I just wore it just by itself? Well, as a huge fan of layering jumpers/rompers/onesies, I wanted to try out my newly shorted blue skirt with this lovely floral piece. I think it makes for a really sweet top, plus the yellow belt helps tie the two items together while bringing out the dashes of color in the print of the one-piece. I wore this over to a family BBQ last week and stayed nice and cool in the heat while we ate a yummy dinner out on the patio. Outfit Remix: Turquoise Tunic
I was organizing my photos and totally forogt this fun outfit I wore a couple weeks ago. Remember how I originally wore this tunic here and then later on, here? I am really taken with the interesting contrast of the bright turquoise against the stark black and white. Just seeing this photo makes me fall in love with the outfit all over again. Just a fun way to shake up a basic tunic!

My After Outfit/Remix: Blue Skirt
You guys remember these three items, right? My floral sundress, blue skirt and, of course, my Melissa shoes! Well, ever since I got my little denim skirt back from my Grandmother—shortened and, in my opinion, much more flattering—I decided to have some fun with layering different pieces under it. In this case, I wanted to play with items I had already worn and blogged about and see if I could consolidate multiple pieces into one single outfit. Et, volia! This ensemble is my first go at it. The best part? I got to try out my new purple Melissa shoes! To see the full outfit, click below!
Outfit Remix: New Jumper
Remember this jumper? Well, last weekend, I wore this outfit to a fun BBQ at my friend’s new house. As much as I love the jumper by itself, I wanted to give it a more casual, understated look, so I slipped it on underneath a pair of my Dad’s old Levis that I stole and made into super comfy cut-offs. Bonus: Because the material of the jumper is so thin, it fits well underneath the jeans and doesn’t bunch up. I was comfy and cool all night!
