Just a little note to all my incredible readers…thank you SO much for your amazing responses to the winter remix challenge. I have loved reading everything you guys had to say and it was so interesting to see which looks were your favorites. Over the weekend I am going to try and tally up the one that got the most praise and post it on Monday. Also, some how the posting of it got screwed up and it went up twice (whoops!) so I am going to take down the first one, but I didn’t want to delete it along with the comments attached without a heads up. I hate to do this, but it is a little confusing to have two copies of it up. My fault! But, if you feel so inclined to leave a note on the most recent version, I’d love it, otherwise, thank you so much everyone. YOU GUYS ROCK! xoxo

Remix Round-Up: Winter Remix Challenge…Which Outfit If Your Favorite?
So, this post is WAY overdue, but as they say, better late than never, right? I was without Photoshop on my new computer, which posed quite the issue when it came to compiling all these looks in one layout. But, I was finally able to pull together all 14 outfits, so now I ask you…out of all these looks, which is your favorite? I would love to know! xoxo

Reunited and It Feels So Good.
Last night Krystal arrived at my place, bags in hand, all set to crash with me for a few days while she interviews for jobs this week. To celebrate her being in New York, I whisked her off to my favorite BYOB sushi place in the LES called Cube 63, where we munched on Volcano rolls and spicy tuna. YUM. Then we went to Spitzers for drinks and gabbed for a few hours. Let me say, for those of you that have never had the pleasure to spend time with this lovely lady—I was lucky enough to meet her the first time around at the Weardrobe conference last September—she truly is lovely. I am crossing my fingers that she moves here, and soon. xoxo
My Outfit Remix: Splurge Dress
So, I am frantically trying to get all my work done so that I can have a nice and relaxing evening with Krystal, full of lots of laughs, good wine and yummy food. Since today, most of my work consists of sitting in front of my computer, and I don’t have a whole lot of reason to leave the house, I decided to get dressed in my outfit for tonight early on and snap a photo of it before the light went away. This is my splurge dress and like I said before, I plan on wearing it many different ways so I feel like I am getting bang for my buck. And so I give you, the outfit of the evening. The blouse underneath is the same top I wore here. Right now I am getting away without wearing tights, but I think when later on I will slip on some sheer black nylons and actually wear the leather jacket that is in my hand.
**After uploading this photo, I realized that I am totally doing a pose that is reminiscent of Krystal’s blogging pose, without even meaning to! I always think she looks great, so I guess imitation really is the greatest form of flattery!**
Guess Who’s In Town?!
For those of who that read the awesome blog, This Time Tomorrow, then you know exactly who I am talking about. Krystal (shown on the far left) just arrived into NYC last night for a week and will be staying with me for part of her trip! I am so excited to reconnect with her after finally meeting her at the Weardrobe Conference back in September. If you haven’t read her blog, I highly recommend you check it out immediately, as well as Katy’s blog (in the middle), Kansas Couture.
**Love this picture. We had gone shopping at Fred Flare and ended up walking out with identical sunglasses. Obviously we had to take a photo.
Playing Catch Up…
So, my life has done a few flips lately, which has caused my normal schedule to become a bit more busy, which includes working on a side-hopefully-soon-to-be-main-project that I am super excited about. However, it does pull me away from my computer more often, which partly is my reason for no outfit post over the past couple days. That, and no tripod. But I finally picked one up today, so hurrah for that! Anyway, above are some photos I took last week (found the camera cord!) and thought it would be fun to share them with you all!
So, last Thursday, I began a busy afternoon by meeting up for coffee (tea in her case) with the lovely and absolutely most beautiful pregnant woman ever, Joanna. Then I jaunted off to meet up with Allie to attend a very cool preview for a Carlos Falchi and mark. event, and afterward, we headed up to meet a bunch of girlfriends to partake in our annual White Elephant Gift Exchange. The gathering took place at the sweet wine bar, Uva, and we had a blast sipping wine and munching on cheese, bread and figs. I scored a very cool Philosophy “cookbook” filled with yummy smelling bath gels. That’s Kelli next to me, who looks like she is perched atop my shoulder wings. : ) It was a busy, but fun-filled night.
Did you do anything fun last week? Where do you like to spend time with friends? Would you rather hang at someone’s house or head out to a favorite wine bar or restaurant?
Have a lovely weekend!
{ Photo taken from Kerry Park when I was home in Seattle this past December. }
So I wore my ruffled sweater out last night and got all sorts of compliments on it, which along with all of your amazing comments (you guys are awesome, seriously) I feel even better about rocking the shoulder ruffles. I took all sorts of photos, but for some reason I can’t find my camera cord—if it’s not one thing, it’s something else!—but promise to share outfit photos soon, so thank you so much for always being so patient. Really, my dear readers, you have no idea how much you make my day, everyday, with your thoughtful opinions and lovely compliments. So, once again, I will say…THANK YOU!
Cheers, and have a truly fantastic weekend! xoxo
