Happy Friday everyone! I am currently in Grand Cayman for a bachelorette party and have been trying to step away from the computer and email for a bit but am still posting some photos on social media because well, it’s just too incredibly beautiful here not to share it with you guys! You can follow me on Instagram and Snapchat (user name is mystylepill) if you’d like to see more fun photos and videos throughout today and this weekend. Hope you all are having a fantastic day and I’ll see you next week! xo
Vacation Dreaming Part 2: Shopbop Sale!
So remember how I was wishing I had a warm weather trip coming up in the near future? Well my dreams came true and at the end of next week I am heading to Puerto Rico, St. Kitts and St. Maarten with my good friend Krystal, courtesy of Celebrity Cruises!
I am very excited, but admittedly a little nervous only because I have never been on a proper cruise before. I grew up spending time on boats, but was always with my family versus thousands of people, and we were never out far out at sea and could get to a harbor very quickly if necessary. So even though I have a bit of anxiety around the idea of boarding a gigantic cruise ship, I think it’s mainly because I am not quite sure what to expect, you know? Have you guys been on one before? What did you think?
Regardless, I am still super excited to have a week away with a good friend where there will be ample time to relax, spend time by the pool catching up on books I’ve started and haven’t finished, and of course experience places I haven’t been before! It’s about a week and a half away so I am definitely starting to think about what I want to bring with me on this excursion, which is why Shopbop’s sale couldn’t come at a better time!
I’ve pulled together some of my favorite warm weather items below – some that are more wish list items and some that I definitely plan on ordering ASAP. But take a look and hopefully you guys snag some awesome sale items as well. Just make sure to use the code BIGEVENT16 at checkout!

Vacation Dreaming: In Need Of A Warm Weather Trip
(Me in Spain two summers ago.)
It’s been pretty dreary and rainy here in New York, which has me yearning to take a warm weather trip somewhere. Not only is it cold and wet here, I also just did a really fun bathing suit photo shoot for a magazine yesterday, so I think the combination of being super tan (the beauty team used an awesome tanning spray called Bondi Sands) and wearing swimsuits all day (my new favorite brand is Gottex) really had me jonesing to get out of town and head to a tropical location.
That said, I still have a bit of time before heading to warmer climates, so instead I thought I would do a roundup of my current favorite beachy items to put on my wishlist until then.

A Day At The Beach
This photo was not posed – he walked over to me, positioned his body over my legs while I was sitting down, and then just stayed put. He is so funny.
Just some of my favorite photos taken while at the beach in Santa Barbara. xo
P.S. My very good friend Heather just started an adorable new blog! She is super talented, creative and hilarious. Check it here! My personal faves are the Chicken Pot Pie post and this Thrifty Gal post.
St. Thomas: A Quick Hello…
Sorry for the quick post today. I took tons of amazing photos yesterday, and will make sure to share them with you tomorrow, but in the meantime, we are off to Buck Island where we are going to swim with endangered sea turtles! Hope you all are having a lovely week! And as always, thanks so much for reading! xoxo
St. Thomas: Ferrying We Go!
Tuesday, we set off to explore St. John’s, which is a mere 20 minute ferry ride from St. Thomas. With sunny skies and a light breeze, all I have to say it was pretty heavenly to be outdoors on a boat. It’s been a while and I never take it for granted when it happens. Anyway, we enjoyed our day by exploring the shops, wandering the winding streets, and eating a yummy lunch at a little cafe not far from the ferry landing.
Fellow ferry riders enjoying the boat ride.
The largest palm there ever was.
Unaware of the camera, but still in disbelief at the largeness of said palm.
Mmmm…that’s what you were doing over there…
After returning to our island, I went down to the pool and swam around as the sun began to set, which was really relaxing and peaceful. Then later that evening, I made us yummy orange white wine spritzers, which I have to say were very tasty and refreshing. We finished up the night at a restaurant in Red Hook where I got the pulled pork sandwich. Messy, but oh so good.
Outfit of the evening. This is my splurge dress, remember?! Check out the other ways I’ve worn/remixed it, here, here and here!
I have to say I was pretty happy with how my hair turned out, and was glad that I brought along my favorite Coach heels. To me, they make any outfit feel chic because of their pretty buttery color and of course because of their nice, high heel.
Yes, this is what happened to my face after taking my first bite. Extremely attractive, don’t you think? : )

So, I know that I just came back from Seattle, but I actually just flew out yesterday for a very last minute vacation in St. Thomas! I am beyond thrilled, and this photo sums up how I feel…super excited! I will be working/posting during the whole trip, and can’t wait to share some fun and amazing photos with you guys. Hope you all had a lovely Easter and are having an even more fantastic Monday! xoxo
