About this outfit:

Coat: I’ve been wearing this peacoat nonstop. I love the shape of it and how the buttons are black like the coat instead of metal or wood, which I think elevates it a bit.

Shirt: I’ve been a fan of Saint James for a while now and was given one of their shirts as a present about three years ago. Since then, I’ve wanted to grow my collection, so when the brand reached out about trying a few more of their tops, I was very excited. They are quite a few different styles to choose from, so I find it’s best to go in and try them on to get a feel for the material and sizing. This one is a slightly more structured material and has 3/4 length sleeves and a slight boatneck collar. I love how it’s the perfect mix of nautical meets prepster meets french girl. :)

Sunglasses and flats: I did a Forever 21 run the other day and came out with this coat, a scarf, these sunglasses and flats that I am wearing in this post. At first I wasn’t sure about the shape and style of the sunnies, but I’ve found myself reaching for them a lot. I also love a camel or cognac flat and I find that suede breaks in faster than leather, keeping blisters at bay. I also love having affordable, cute flats that I can shove in my bag, and won’t be upset if they get trashed by walking around the city because I can easily buy another pair for $13!

Tote: A few weekends ago I went to the American Field Pop Up Market at the Brooklyn Expo in Greenpoint and came across this striped tote at one of the booths. I decided that if I bought it I would make sure to toss my other ragged looking random totes I’ve collected over the years and stick with this one. It’s cute, a good size and is the perfect carry-all.

Jeans: I first discovered these L’Agence jeans while on a photo shoot for Style Watch when we were doing their denim issue, and loved the fit so much that I bought them in black! They are super stretchy and high waisted, but still very comfortable.
