As someone who is not particularly fond of Mondays, I’m also not a morning person, so when the day rolls around and my alarm goes off, it feel like a double whammy. But after talking it over with my friend Emily, who LOVES Mondays (what?!) she’s been helping me strategize on how to kick off my week with a positive note and look at it as a fresh start.
Since I have the flexibility that comes with working for yourself, I want to start using Mondays as a way to do a few things just for me that feed my soul, which include yoga, meditation and/or taking a walk by the water, all of which help me clear my head. I also am going to use the day for administrative work, which means cleaning out my inbox, organizing and updating paperwork, invoices, spreadsheets etc. so that I feel organized, energized and ready to take on the rest of the week.
