MSP Shares: What’s in my bag / what’s in my styling kit

What’s in my bag…

(Not shown – a pair of heels, my Nikon SLR and some sort of scarf and/or gloves.)
As someone who is constantly on the go, running here and there, while basically lugging everything around in one large bag, my appearance by midday is often less than glamourous (read: frazzled and sweaty). It’s times like these when you need something that will help you reset and refresh for those crucial and transitional moments, especially when dealing with rapid climate change where you head straight from the freezing elements into a heated building for an important meeting or appointment. Not always a pretty sight!

Luckily, I’ve discovered Total Refresh Cooling Body Cloths by Ban, which is a new innovative product from Japan. What sets these cloths apart is the PowderSilk™ Technology, which leaves your skin feeling soft and smooth, smelling fresh, with no sticky residue. I am a huge proponent of anything that offers a quick fix when in a pinch, especially when it’s travel sized, so, I’ve started keeping a pack in my purse and now have added them to my styling kit. They have been quite the lifesaver so I definitely recommend giving them a whirl.

Now that you know what’s in my bag, I thought it would be fun to share a peek into what makes up my styling kit, which represents another side of my life. Each stylist has their own personal tips and tricks, and building your kit takes time and experience, but when I’m on a shoot, I know that the bottom line is I need be prepared and ready to fix any issue that could arise regarding the clothing.

Above are my go-to items that I use on-set, which now definitely includes Ban Freshening Cloths. I’ve found them incredibly useful as a quick refresher during outfit changes and just for general use when on set after a long day. After wrapping up a shoot, I love to blow off steam with friends over dinner and drinks, but I’m usually feeling sort of haggard. Now I just wipe down my neck and underarms with one of the cloths, swipe on a bit of mascara, blush and lipgloss, and I’m ready to go! xo
This post is sponsored by Ban. You can read more about the product here, but as always, all opinions and styling are my own. Thank you for your continuous support. #bantotalrefresh
