Next Friday I am headed back to London to see my best friend, and it got me thinking about all my favorite places I visited when I was there last May. One place in particular always makes me smile. We discovered it when we decided to hop on the tube, head over to Notting Hill to spend a lovely afternoon wandering around with no plan in mind, and ended up on Portobello Lane. It was idyllic to say the least.
While window shopping all the cute boutiques, I spotted a store across the street that had the most adorable dresses and accessories in their window. I dragged my best friend over and within five minutes I was in the dressing room with a handful of tops and skirts. I was successful in my endeavor and happily walked out of the shop with two silky pleated calf-length skirts.
I was over the moon because we were headed to Paris for the weekend and I couldn’t wait to style up my new purchases and photograph them for the blog. For those of you that have been reading My Style Pill since last year, you will mostly likely recognize both photos (shown above). I cannot wait to visit Appletree Boutique again. It is the kind of store, at least for a fashion enthusiast, where you walk in and instantly feel happy, girly, excited and the overwhelming need to own everything in sight. From their scarves to their silky blouses and skirts to their friendly staff, I would highly recommend you make your way to the shop if you’re ever in London Town.
