Outfit Remix: Confetti Dress
Found: Vintage Watch Necklaces
Dearest Readers, I am so excited to share this news with you. I am sure by now, you are all familiar with the vintage watch necklace that I wear oh so often. Well, the lovely Pamela of Market Publique just informed me that Corvus Noir, which is as amazing vintage online store, has reconstructed three vintage watches specifically for MP shoppers and My Style Pill readers! Check out all the information, here! Amazing! xoxo
Inspired by: Pumpkin Orange

With Thanksgiving coming up, I am craving clothing in warm, spicy colors—the color pumpkin orange being at the top of my list. So, take note. The first photo is of Susan Cernek of Glamour.com, photographed by Garance Dore, which I believe was taken some time last year. Susan is such a sweetheart and has impeccable style, that I of course immediately grabbed this image and filed it away in my inspiration folder on my desktop. Then, over the weekend, I was styling one of my clients, Faye, and put together an outfit for her for Thanksgiving dinner. We ended up using her amazing orange scarf!
So, truth be told, with the holiday just a few days away, I think I am going to have to do a quick search and snap up my very own pumpkin-colored version. Thank goodness for New York street vendors and their plethora of “cashmere” scarfs. I’ll let you know what I come up with!
My Outfit: Confetti Dress
Good Morning, good morning! How was everyone’s weekend? I had a fantastic past few days, full of good food, friends and fun. I actually wore this outfit on Thursday when I was literally running around, up and down the city all day long. This dress is super comfortable so it was great for a day full of errands and subway-riding. Plus the pattern reminds me of multi-colored confetti, which adds a cheerful element to the whole ensemble. I liked my outfit enough to wear it out to dinner with friends at Bobo later that evening, (YUM) but decided to change up the tights and boots. Will post the mini remix later on today, so stay tuned. In the meantime, happy Monday, and happy almost Thanksgiving! xoxo

My Outfit: Back to Black
Happy Friday! So happy it’s the weekend. How has everyone’s week been? So, it seems lately, I have really been obsessed with these black skinnies from H&M, which I bought close to 4 years ago. I think it’s because I recently got them hemmed to the perfect length, so they are easy to slip on with flats or heels or tuck into boots because there isn’t all that excess material anymore. Anyway, I didn’t intend to go monochromatic after my bright red and blue ensemble from yesterday, but sometimes a girl just needs to wear all black. It’s easy—no muss, no fuss—especially when you are running around all day doing errands and such. I also am in love with the little pleat in the back of the vest. Such a fun detail.
My Outfit:
Jacket: H&M
Vest: F21
Shirt: Thrifted from Beacon’s Closet
Necklace: H&M
Pants: Karl Lagerfeld for H&M
Boots: Store in SoHo
My Outfit: Country Chic
Here it is, the first remix of the little red dress. In order to give it a more casual look, I opted for a basic plaid button down tied at the waist, and my vintage corduroy jacket to act as a nice contrast against the silky material of the dress. Since it was sunny out, but still crisp and fall-like, I decided on cream lace tights and a similar-hued scarf so that I stayed warm, but which also helped in avoiding the overall style from looking too summery. By the time these photos were taken, the sun was already beginning to set, which gave some of the images a pretty, grainy-like quality. I was very pleased with the outcome of the photos and the ensemble, and can’t wait to remix it again in a totally different way. Stay tuned!

Remix Challenge: Little Red Dress
Remember this LRD? It is one of my favorites and I bought it from Anthropolgie last September for a friend’s wedding. This photo was taken back in May, and for the most part, I have only worn it like this to weddings and events. But, the other day, I was browsing through my closet, looking for inspiration, and decided that it’d be a fun challenge to see how I could change the overall look of this dress. So, stay tuned in a few hours to see the first of many remixes of this lovely little red number.
