Starting tomorrow, for the next two weeks, I will be posting my very own little gift guide for the first time ever. I will of course be presenting lots of fun items for us gals, but am also including gifts for the important men in our lives because let’s be honest…they’re pretty special too. Stay tuned! xoxo

My Outfit: Hangin’ at The High Line
Yesterday was so lovely, with perfect weather and sunny skies. I spent the day lounging around the apartment a bit before gathering myself up and heading out to a yummy brunch at Jane, which was complete with eggs, coffee and a spicy bloody mary. Afterwards, we headed over the Apple store where I checked out my soon-to-be new computer—more on that in the next couple weeks—and since it was so nice out, The High Line became our next stop. The sunset was amazing and the view of the city and the Hudson was unbeatable.

My Thanksgiving Feast!
Here are a few fun photos from my Thanksgiving feast at Allie and her boyfriend Lindy’s apartment. It was quite a day of food—all of it extremely tasty and well done. While we waited for the turkey to be ready, we snacked on wasabi deviled eggs, sipped vino verde and watched Home Alone. Such a great day complete with good friends and much need relaxation. Sending a huge thanks out to Allie and Lindy for hosting. It was amazing, you two!
Where did you spend Thanksgiving?

Happy Turkey Day!

Happy Thanksgiving, lovelies! What are your holiday plans? This will be the first Thanksgiving ever that I won’t be with my family in Seattle, but luckily my best friend and her boyfriend are hosting a lovely meal at their apartment this year. So, tomorrow I will be hanging out with friends, sipping wine, munching on olives and cheese and taking lots of photos of all the yummy dishes Allie prepared. Check back on Friday to see all the fun photos!
My Outfit, Part Two: Boyfriend Button-downs and Burgers
My Outfit, Part One: Boyfriend Button-downs and Burgers
Yesterday’s activities included: making breakfast, taking photographs and eating burgers. As of late I have found myself becoming more and more interested in cooking and attempting to make things in my tiny little New York kitchen. Granted, I have only made two things so far, both breakfast items. The other morning, it was egg-in-a-hole and yesterday morning it was cinnamon challah french toast. I know, not the hardest dishes to prepare, but big steps for me. Anyway, after breakfast and working for a bit, I headed out towards the Hudson to take photos by the water. The light was so pretty and the snapshots we took turned out amazing.

My Outfit: Sneak Peak
Outfit Remix: Perfectly Parisian
I have been working on this outfit for a while, seeing it slowly come together until all the pieces finally fell into place. I started, of course, with the little red dress itself. Then it occurred to me to try layering a top underneath, and that’s how I came up with my striped dress, which, because of how tight it is, worked well and didn’t bunch up. Next, I had to figure out which blazer to wear. At first I had selected the gray one from Ann Taylor, but ended up liking this black tuxedo version much better. Lastly, I went with with nude fishnets, black oxfords and black and gold accessories to maintain continuity. I’ll admit that I really love this outfit and wish that instead of being next to the Hudson, I was taking photos along the Seine about to enjoy a picnic of brie, bread and wine. Ah well, maybe someday soon…
