And I give you, the third and final outfit wearing this black silk bandana! (Look one and two.) This time around I went for a monochromatic look, which can be tricky to put together without looking too “matchy-matchy” but I think because the three different greens aren’t too identical, it turned out alright! How To Style An Oversized Scarf
Hat: Mariners / Sunglasses: Karen Walker / Scarf: Zara / Jacket: True Religion / Shirt: Saint James / Bag: Proenza Schouler / Jeans: Zara / Shoes: Nine West
I love scarves. I have more than I care to admit but I can’t stop buying more every fall and winter. I find that my most favorite scarves are either from Zara and ASOS (see yesterday’s post) and I love how affordable they are.
Sometimes styling a really long or large scarf can feel intimidating because you start to wonder where all the fabric is supposed to go! But my favorite way to handle an oversized scarf is to make sure it doesn’t too look fussy or “done” and that it is comfortable around your neck. I tend to wear mine fairly loosely, circled once around with the ends hanging down in front.
It’s not quite chilly enough just yet to break out my new ones so I thought instead I would share some of my older, favorite outfits from this past year where the scarf was the main focal piece.
Hat: Rag & Bone / Sunglasses: Karen Walker / Scarf: Aldo / Shirt: J.Crew / Jacket: IRO / Pants: Zara / Shoes: Schutz
Sunglasses: Karen Walker / Scarf: Zara / Jacket: IRO / Jeans: Frame / Boots: Forever 21 / Bag: Givenchy
Sunglasses: Karen Walker / Scarf: Zara / Sweater: Margaret O’Leary / Jeans: AYR / Boots: Clarks
Hat: Club Monaco / Sunglasses: Karen Walker / Scarf: Zara / Vest: Zara / Jeans: Frame / Shoes: Mango / Bag: 3.1 Phillip Lim
Sunglasses: Karen Walker / Blazer: IRO / Scarf: Zara / Overalls: Zara / Boots: Rag & Bone / Bag: Madewell
Maybe I should do a scarf styling/tying tutorial on my YouTube channel! Would you guys be into that? Let me know in the comments below! xo

Currently Coveting: Blanket Scarf
Just felt like sharing this pretty photo on such a wet, snowy day. Really loving this pretty gray scarf and how it wraps around like a big cozy blanket.
Remix Challenge: Day 10
Yep, that’s a ring… slipped on over my gloved pinky. I got swagger…
Okay, maybe not, but I’m still digging it and can pretend I’m hardcore. Today’s outfit is sort of preppy 80s meets downtown 90s with a French twist. (I say that only because of the stripes and because my scarf is a map of Paris.)

She looks so happy! Also, don’t you just love the rich red color of her scarf against her pretty blue skirt? Lovely.
It’s a wrap.

Isn’t this a great look? The addition of the scarf wrapped around the outside of this monochromatic, slightly manly looking jacket, gives it just the flair it needs to become more interesting and unique. I have a couple jackets with waist ties and think that tomorrow I will experiment with a scarf wrapped round the outide of a basic jacket. My favorite part: How the ends of the scarf are tucked neating into the belt. So ingenious. What do you think of this look, dear readers? Spxx
