Weekend Wear: Philly Trip, Day 2

DSC_0185

Our trip to Philly was pretty short (we both wished we could stay longer) but we packed in as much fun as possible and wrapped up the weekend with an excellent brunch at Park, where we had eggs benedict and croque madames.

We walked off our food by taking a stroll in the park, where Kim and I of course took outfit shots. You get two fashion bloggers together and we go camera-happy. The boys were perfectly fine to let us take on that task. (Check out Kim’s blog to see her cute photos!)

As far as the outfit goes, this is one on my favorite coats, besides my cream Mackage jacket. I love the way the bottom half is pleated, and swirls, twists and turns when I walk (or dance around in leaves). I’m also wearing a new sweater from American Living that arrived in the mail last week, which makes me feel like I belong in a snow logde somewhere in Aspen with a hot toddy in hand. (Sigh, I wish.)  It’s boat-neck in style, which you can’t fully see under the coat, but makes me feel very feminine and graceful. I plan on wearing this knit plenty more times throughout the holiday season, so you will see it soon in all it’s glory. I wore it pretty casually on Sunday, but think it would be loads of fun to dress it up with a swirly black skirt, a sparkly necklace and velvet heels.

Weekend Wear: Philly Trip, Day 1

As you all know, A and I headed to Philly this weekend to visit Kim and her boyfriend Brian. Needless to say, we had a blast. We wandered around the city, ate huge sandwiches at the Italian market, took loads of photos, and walked around some more.

I told you I was going to start posting dance moves on the blog!

My very favorite pair of flats, which were a generous gift from Scarpasa.

The one thing that I couldn’t get over in Philly was the vibrant colors everywhere. The leaves were not only changing, but were an array of yellows, oranges and reds, so gorgeous that even my nice camera doesn’t do them justice.

I love this shot. Kim took it with her iPhone and I love the “multi-holding” going on in the photograph.

The rest of the weekend was so much fun because instead of going out to a fancy dinner and drinks, we came home from being out all day and got into sweats. The boys whipped up some specialty cocktails, and Kim and I drank wine and painted our nails. A few more people came over and we ordered pizza and just hung out. It was so nice to just relax in someone’s apartment on the couch.

Here’s the thing about Manhattan apartments…they are usually pretty small, so everyone is always looking to get out instead of staying in and just inviting people over. I can’t tell you how relaxing and homey it was to just stay put for once.

I hope you all had a lovely weekend, I know I did. There are more photos to come tomorrow, so stay tuned! xoxo

P.S. Make sure you check out Kim’s blog to see all her fun photos as well!
