This past week I indulged in some much needed R&R with my family (and Barney of course) in Northern California, where we spent time taking long walks along the water, tasting amazing wine, eating fresh, home-cooked meals, and lounging around reading and play solitaire (on my new iPhone!) It was such a wonderful vacation and I definitely took advantage of the lovely scenery for some outfit shots, which you will see all this week, so stay tuned! xoxo
{ Outfit note: I love the dress that ModCloth named the “My Style Pill” dress and have found that it is the perfect piece for summer. Therefore, I have been trying to work it into my wardrobe every way possible, because it is just that comfortable and cute. I first wore it here, but this time around, I layered this tulle skirt over it to create it into a top. The key to layering with pieces like this, especially for dresses that already have a built in waist, is to make sure that the bottom you are using as the overlay piece, is either at, or above that waist, so that it creates a seamless silhouette/line between the bottom and “top.” Et, volia: a new outfit! }
{ Loving my new turquoise Birthday earrings. So sculptural and unique. Thank you to Alison and Elizabeth for such a lovely present, I adore them. :) }
