Ever since I arrived back in New York last Monday, the rest of the week and weekend was jammed pack with fun activities and plans, including my Birthday celebration! It all began on Tuesday night, after Casey and I attended the New York premiere of the movie he worked on called I Origins, which was incredible and I highly recommend you all see it. (In theaters July 18th!!!) Afterward we headed to a nearby bar to ring in my Birthday at midnight with friends over a glass of wine and a bodega Twinkie with a candle on top.
Wednesday was my actual Birthday, so I took the day to relax, get a mani/pedi and read by the pool. Later that night, I wore this dress to dinner at Cafe Mezcal with a bunch of my close friends. We grabbed drinks at Nurse Bettie afterward where somehow within five minutes of walking in, I was called up on stage along with two other people for a mini Birthday dance competition, which hilariously I won. Needless to say it was a blast.
Wore this Parker dress on Wednesday.
Thursday night was a surprise that Casey planned for me, which turned out to be a very special, old school New York evening, complete with dinner at The Lamb’s Club and a show, Avenue Q, a hilarious Broadway comedy/musical. (My jumpsuit is by Parker.)
Selfie!
Also, seriously obsessed with this necklace by Bauble Bar x Stripes and Sequins.
Friday I celebrated once again with friends at Ten Degrees, then we ended the night at The Wayland.
Saturday was my Mom’s Birthday, which sadly I wasn’t home to celebrate with her and my Dad. Instead it was spent low key, wandering around the East Village. We grabbed lunch at Cafe Mogador then ice cream at Van Leeuwen. Then later on dinner at The Mermaid Inn and caught a movie, 22 Jump Street, which was super funny – I highly recommend it.
Happy Pride Day!
To wrap up an amazing week and weekend, on Sunday we saw back to back UCB shows to conclude the annual Del Close Marathon, which you can read about here. Some pretty heavy hitters performed, including Amy Poehler and the girls from Broad City. We were thrilled. All in all, it was such a great past seven days and I feel so incredibly grateful to have such an amazing boyfriend, friends and family. And to you, my dear readers, thank you for the Birthday wishes and following along all these years. It means the world to me. Love to you! xo
While I was in Seattle this past March, I picked up these overalls as a nod to my 90s teenage self. It’s so funny how trends or pieces of clothing that we have sworn off forever (hello Birkenstocks!) come back as all the rage. But that’s fashion for you, and that’s what keeps it fun and interesting, don’t you think?

Sunglasses: Ray Ban (via Amazon) / Shirt: J.Crew (old – but similar striped option here) / Overalls: Zara (these are cute too) / Jacket: All Saints / Bag: Celine / Shoes: Zara
I’ll admit, until I get them hemmed a little bit, I was struggling with what shoe would look good with the current length and thickness of the cuff. A boot could look too western and a flat would make me look short, so I opted for a sleek, color block pump to dress them up a bit. How do you guys feel about overalls? These are super cute from Nordstrom, and on sale! Do you own any? xo
Shop some of my favorites here (varying price points too)…

(I took this photo from my friend’s roof deck. Lucky guy!)
After being away for almost three weeks, I was pretty happy to spend time in my city this weekend. The weather was amazing, I was surrounded by friends and family for two days straight and spent a ton of time outside in the sun. Plus I was able to live in this dress without being cold, while downing iced coffee. Spring is a glorious time of year, even if it can feel fleeting at times.
Wearing Karen Walker “Helter Skelter” Sunglasses, a denim vest from Forever 21, a Zara dress, and a fedora I bought last summer from Target.
On Sunday I ordered an excellent Jambon Beurre baguette sandwich from Lafayette. The bonus? They add mini gherkins!
Blooms are blossoming everywhere!
Obsessed with my new dress from Zara.
More gorgeous skyline views of New York and the Chrysler Building. These images will never get old to me.
This is Frankie, my friend’s dingo. She’s my little East Village love.
This bakery makes me miss Paris.
One gigantic marshmellow!
The very beautiful, yet very exclusive Gramercy Park.
More beautiful blooms!
Happy Monday, my loves. I hope you have a lovely week. xo

I can barely stand it! Starting Friday, The NYC Fashion Blogger Conference hosted by Weardrobe will begin and I am on pins and needles! I feel so priviledged to be invited and involved in all of this. Not only does the itinerary sound so inspiring, invigorating and fun, but the sponsors are amazing and the bloggers (listed below) are fantastic. As Jessica put it…in short, it’s going to EPIC! Yay for Weardrobe, fashion bloggers and New York City! xoxo
P.S. Check out all the chic and awesome attendees/bloggers!
