I cannot tell a lie. This outfit (and hair) was once again inspired by the stylish Blair, of Atlantic-Pacific. I put my own spin on this ensemble, but what drew me to this look in the first place was the buttoned-up blouse and how she paired it with something as simple a basic gray crewneck sweater creating a chic, ladylike combination.
But last weekend when I walked into the bedroom, wearing my blouse buttoned up all the way with my bejeweled neck decoration tied just so that it fell right beneath the collar, and asked A what he thought, he looked at me and said, “What’s up man-shirt.” Men and women really do have different ideas about what’s stylish. Le sigh.
But, I can’t really complain, because lucky for me, A does in fact recognize when something is stylish in the fashion world even when/if it’s not his favorite thing in “real life.” In the end, I do my best to always try and mix it up to create a happy medium.
I’m curious…does your boyfriend ever balk at anything you wear?
***Disclaimer: Don’t worry, A is extremely supportive and always makes it clear that he does not care what I wear as long as it makes me happy, but that if I ask his opinion on an outfit, he will always tell me his honest opinion no matter what. Gotta love an honest guy. :)

The rain has been coming down here in Seattle, with bouts of sunshine here and there peaking through the clouds, which has made for lovely backdrops and scenic shots. So, when the drizzle took a brief rest, I knew I had to sneak in a few snaps before the drops started up again. The air was brisk enough to wear my new shearling jacket from Need Supply (yay!) but not so cold that I had to wear tights.
Besides loving this cozy new jacket, I am extremely fond of my new midnight-blue, pleated, double-tiered from ModCloth. Whether you dress it up for work with a crisp white button-down, a high pony-tail and Mary Jane heels, or dress it down for brunch with a boxy cropped sweater, a braid and leather flats, I love how classic and feminine the style is, while still remaining versatile and understated. Definitely a new wardrobe staple for me. Check it out here! xoxo
Currently Coveting: Shearling Jacket
{ Yes, please!}
I have had my eye on a shearling jacket for a while now, and have seen a ton of cute bomber styles out there, but this one blows them all out of the water. I came across this beauty while browsing through the Need Supply’s website. I have been a fan for some time now, and they never fail to have great pieces that always cause me to drool. Case in point, here, here and here.
{ ***For those of you that love me, like me a little bit, or just want to buy me presents, this note is for you: I am adding all four of these gorgeous items to my Christmas list immediately. Just a friendly FYI*** }
