As the weather begins to change in New York, I always find myself wearing a couple of light layers to accomodate the varying temperatures that happen throughout the day. It might start out slightly chilly in the morning, requiring a light blazer underneath a jacket of some sort, and then by lunch, only the blazer is needed. And then all of a sudden, after running around all day, I find myself stripping off all my long sleeved items and that’s why a short sleeve shirt as my base layer is absolutely necessary. Then by the time the sun is setting, I am piling all my layers on again! Do you guys struggle with seasonal transitional dressing? What are your go-to pieces? xo

During my family’s road trip from California to Seattle I basically lived in some basic version of this outfit, which consisted of a tank and these cutoff shorts. So during one of the longer stretches of driving, my Dad and I took a break and hopped out of the car to take some photos to show how you can easily remix a simple look like this one, two different ways. With Mother’s Day quickly approaching, I thought it would be fun to do a little styling post featuring my Mom. So I teamed up with Ann Taylor to create a fun shopping day for me and my Mom. We headed in and decided to pick out similar colored pieces so that we could coordinate our final looks with one another. It was such a blast to spend an afternoon together and the team at Ann Taylor was very helpful, which made everything much easier.
These last four photos sum us up – we can be super goofy and we always find ourselves laughing together. My Mom is my best friend and I am so extremely lucky to have her in my life. I love you Mom! xo

Remix: Paper Doll x UGG Australia…The Lucianna Wedges, Two Ways

I am so excited to finally bring back the Paper Doll series and with the Creative Council by UGG Australia, no less. My first remix is all about my take on festival style at Coachella. I decided to add in a touch of Palm Springs luxe and make my outfits a bit more polished instead of just opting for jean shorts of some kind. I centered my outfits around these cute, and comfy I might add, Lucianna Wedges. My first outfit I styled around the pink wedges and made it playful and bright. My second outfit (below) I used the black wedges to give the outfit a darker, sophisticated and glam feel. These were so fun to create and I have the talented Joy Jacobs to thank for snapping these photos. Here is the full, still layout if you would like to look at each individual image without me dancing around. :)
