My Outfit: Fall Florals

As much as I can’t wait to wear this silky little romper this coming summer, I really loved wearing it on the very blustery day we experienced yesterday. I liked the contrast of the lemon yellow against the black accents—unexpected but fresh and playful. Isn’t it fun to wear summery items in the fall and winter? You can get so much more wear out of your wardrobe this way!

My Outfit:
Sunglasses: Vintage, 20Twenty in Ballard, WA
Jacket: Gap
Yangtze River Romper: Courtesy of ModCloth
Necklace: H&M
Tights: Drugstore
Boots: Thrifted, Beacon’s Closet
Bag: H&M

Sorry, today has been kind of hectic, and so I don’t have time to write much, but wanted to share an outfit with you guys that I wore the other day. I wore this sundress over the summer, but now that it is getting a little chillier, I needed a few more layers and this is what I came up with. I love to remix my clothes by reusing the same pieces and then coming up with slightly different outfits. Click below for the remixed versions of this dress!

My Style Pill Likes: Jane of Studio JYC

Let me ask you ladies a question. When it comes to your brows, how do you maintain them? Are you fans of waxing? Sugaring? Threading? Or, do you trust no one but yourself when it comes to plucking? I used to wax, but somehow along the way, I got into threading and have been hooked ever since. It’s come time for me to clean up my brows again, and when I am in New York, by recommendations from my friends Heather and Jennifer, I go to Shobha, which is amazing. But, while I was at home for a good solid month, I started to panic about where to go to clean up my brows. I procrastinated a bit because I had become so accustomed to getting them by Shashi, so by the time I discovered Studio JYC, I will admit, the brows were slightly out of hand. So, without further adieu, let me introduce you to Jane. Jane is awesome and funny and lovely. Her salon is located within another salon and has an adorable print hanging on the door. Upon first meeting her, I was instantly put at ease and all the reviews I read about her and her work were absolutely true. She doesn’t under or over-thread and really knows her stuff. So, if ever in Seattle, or for those of you that live there, I will have to insist that you go to Studio JYC. Her services include waxing, sugaring and threading. Check out her full services, here. Thanks again Jane. I love my brows! Click below to see my lovely brows.

Part 1: Summer Favorites

This mini series of posts aren’t going to be entirely fashion based, but I felt like sharing a few things that I loved about this summer, before I fully welcome fall into my life.

First up: Mariner’s games with my Dad

tickets

Yes, New Yorkers, you read that right. Mariners vs Yankees. I rooted for the Mariners. Obvi.

And because I am also a Mets fan.

Heaven. I had no problem whatsoever consuming everything you see in this photo.

Flashback to my youth. To those Seattlites reading this, I needn’t say more.

Want to know the best part of this game, besides getting to hang out with my dad all day?

The Mariners beat the Yankees.

10-3.

Woot.

Sweet Sunshine

icecream-car

Happy Monday! Wow, last week was a such whirlwind of amazing fashion shows, parties and friends. I had a blast but by the time Friday came, I was plain exhausted and needed a day to recoup, so I’m sorry for not posting. But, I’m back, refreshed and ready to take on the week. So, yesterday, I got my hair cut—shorter bangs and more layers—and then spent a lovely day with my good friend, Liz, laying out in the sun, catching up, and then later eating ice cream, and then sushi…in that order. Just what the doctor ordered. What did you do this weekend?

My Outfit: Old Cape Cod

Off for a mini holiday to Marion, Mass., then over to Cape Cod with friends for the rest of the weekend. I should be posting as usual tomorrow, but sadly my computer battery has been acting up, so if I am absent for some reason, you’ll know why! But, in the meantime, check back at 12Pm to read all about the recap of The Weardrobe Conference, day two!
