A Day in Malaga

Saturday, Andi and I took the train into the city of Malaga and did a little exploring. We visited the big market there, where I bought some great spices, and we sampled some of the local fare at one of the tapas stands. We made the obligatory trip to Zara, where I picked up a few things, and then we sat and chatted over more tapas and wine. Here in Spain, it is expected to sit down every few hours, eat a tapa or two, drink a glass of wine and chat before heading back out again. Oh, and naps. Naps are big here. I’m a big fan of that part – well everything, really. All and all, the day was a success, and I loved having some catch up time with this one. She’s pretty great. :) xo

Homemade Paella

Hey you guys! I’m still in Spain and enjoying every second. I have been taking pictures like crazy and am planning on doing a round up of everything soon, but wanted to pop up a few photos from yesterday of the homemade paella our Spanish friends made for us. It was amazing – packed with mussels, prawns, calamari, clams and pieces of fish. It really was a treat to have it prepared specially for us and with a homemade recipe that has been been passed down through generations.

Can you believe we’ve already been here for almost a week? We fly back on Wednesday, which seems to be approaching way too quickly, so instead I’m not going to think about it and instead live in the moment and really enjoy the rest of my time here. Malaga, Here We Come!

Hello and happy Monday! I know I usually put up an “Over the Weekend” post on Mondays, but this weekend was spent packing and getting ready for our trip to Spain, so there wasn’t anything too interesting to photograph. Instead, I want to share these two photos of Malaga, taken by my friend Andi, who is living there for the summer, and who we will be staying with for the next ten days! I can’t wait to spend time at the beach, eat good food and explore this beautiful little beach town.
