Meet S. She is a friend of a friend who I recently met while out for a drink in the West Village. Isn’t her outfit so fun? I was instantly taken with it the moment she took off her coat and sat down. Pattern mixing can be tricky, but when done right, it looks so interesting and unique. Plus, don’t you love her yellow cardi? And those stacked bangles? Loving all of it!

Stylish in Stripes
I’ll say it. I am absolutely jazzed about this outfit that I saw on The Sartorialist. Not only is it simple and chic, not to mention her fabulous striped top, but I own a similar version of each item that she is wearing! Granted, her blazer with the thick lapel is cooler than mine and so is her zippered skirt, (note to self, get one immediately) but other than that, I can shop my own closet! And, seeing that I am currently a very active member of the Recessionista Movement, all I have to say is, hurrah!

Joanna from A Cup of Jo recently wrote a post about how to dress like a Parisian woman. She even interviewed Garance Dore, the amazing Parisian street-style photographer. I must say, Emily from Cupcakes and Cashmere nails it here with her awesome blue and white top. I love everything about her look. The stripes, the shirt, the nails, the purse, the shoes, and of course the headband. So cute. But, how does she get it to stay put on her head? I recently just bought one like this but it makes my hair poof up—ridiculously so—on either side! Oh well, guess I will just keep fiddling with it!

I am so unbelievably happy it is Friday. Maybe by the time next Monday rolls around, I will start to fall back into my normal routine. I always find it so tough to come back and regulate after having a lovely two weeks off. Anyway, here are some of my favorite pictures from around the web today.
