My Outfit: On a Cloud

ModCloth Agyness Top/ Buffalo Exchange Chain Necklace / H&M Bauble Necklace / H&M Skirt / Steve Madden Trackks Wedges

On Tuesday night, I had the extreme pleasure of attending a celebratory dinner for Erin Fetherston, who is Juicy Couture’s new creative consultant. I got to meet the lovely Miss Fetherston herself, as well as drink pink champagne and catch up with some of my favorite blogger girls, Audrey, Carolyn and Kelly. The rest of the evening was filled with eating, drinking, chatting and shopping…they let us loose in the Juicy store for an after-hours mini shopping spree! I felt very lucky and was floating on a cloud all evening.

My wolf head ring!

Last week I went and met the lovely Vanessa from Obey, who was kind enough to show me the brand’s new line of clothing and accessories. The preview was held at the very hip and chic Ace Hotel, which I am still jonesing to have brunch there—any takers?—and I immediately fell in love the space. The items were showcased in one of the sleeping rooms, and the selection was fresh, edgy and fun. Truth be told, I wanted it all. I took a few snaps of my favorite pieces, but my very favorite item was the wolf head ring that was given to me in the gift bag! I have pretty much been wearing it since and am mildly obsessed with it. Isn’t it fierce and fab?! Yes, I just used the word fierce, that is how awesome I think this ring is. Anyhoo, check out their current pieces online, and I promise to keep you posted on when their new items become available. Thanks a million Vanessa! xoxo

My Outfit: Armani/Casa and Elle Decor Party

IMG_1761

IMG_1755

Tuesday night I met up with some friends at the Armani/Casa store in Soho for a party thrown by Elle Decor, hosted by EIC, Margaret Russell, and John Mayer! I was so convinced he was going to sing, but sadly he never did. Two of my friends got their photo taken with him though!  Anyway, it was a very lovely, glamorous party and I had a great time. I love this dress, which I got at a sample sale event a couple years ago, but I usually wear it during the warmer months, with no tights and peep-toed nude heels. So, seeing that it was extremely chilly out that night and the wind was blowing like crazy, I took the opportunity to try wearing basic black tights with it instead. Lastly, I knew I wanted to add a little bling to my look, so I topped off my outfit with my go-to piece for instant glitz, which is my trusty multi-layered chain necklace from Buffalo Exchange. Works like a charm, every time!

My Outfit:
Blazer: H&M
Necklace: Buffalo Exchange
Dress: Debra Rodman
Tights: ?
Shoes: F21
Bracelet: (Actually a necklace) H&M

My Outfit: Feeling Patriotic

IMG_1276

Untitled-1

Folks, it’s official. I finally bought my very own pair of red tights! I have been searching for a pair for quite some time and then as I walked past an American Apparel last night and found exactly what I was looking for. As you know, I have been having the best time remixing this dress, so I of course had to immediately try the two of them together. What a smashing contrast! I borrowed my roommates new coat/trench and accented with my mustard-colored purse. Don’t you think the headscarf and over-sized glasses give it a 1950s/politician’s wife feel? Very patriotic, indeed!

My Outfit:
Scarf: NafNaf in Paris
Sunglasses: Vintage, 20twenty in Ballard
Coat: Roomies!
Dress: Vintage, thrifted from Buffalo Exchange
Belt: Thrifted, somewhere in the west village (?)
Necklace: Grandmother’s vintage watch on chain
Tights: American Apparel
Shoes: Jenni Kayne, gift from BFF
Bag: Coach

My Outfit: Strike A Pose

Style Pill Glamourai

So, after the Milly show last Wednesday, I came home and relaxed a bit before heading back out to a party put on by Refinery 29, Thrillist and Gilt Groupe with a special performance by Of Montreal. I ran into Kelly there and we got our photo taken as we walked in. (Recognize this outfit?) She was kind enough to snap a shot of my full outfit and a close up my hair. Click below to see the photos!

My Outfit: Walter and G-Star After Parties

My Outfit:
Necklace: F21
Dress: H&M
Blazer: Gap
Shoes: Nine West

After the Tibi show, I had some time to kill before I met up with friends for the after parties, so I decided on an outfit change. Because, well, why not! This dress is yet another gem that I got while in Seattle and I wanted to wait and wear it for the perfect occasion. Last night proved to be it. I felt so feminine and pretty in this dress, with it’s full chiffon-like skirt and fitted waist. So much so, that I felt the need to take some twirling photos! But as much as I love how girly this dress ie, for this particular outfit, I wanted to play that down a bit, so I added edgier black accents and then evened it all out with a fresh, crisp white blazer. The parties were super fun and I got to hang out with my good friend Liz, Jenni from Daily Work It, Carolyn from The Daily Obsession, and made a new friend out of the lovely Malorie, who works in fashion PR, and am actually going to a show with later today! My Outfit: Tibi RTW Spring 2010

turquoise-dress-tibi2

turquoise-dress-tibi-show1

Yesterday was such a whirlwind of fashion fun. I literally ran around all day, bouncing between shows, the last one being the Tibi RTW collection at the tents—another show I covered for The Daily Obsession. It is always pretty crazy there so I was relieved when I ran into my new blogger friend Lucrecia, from Fashion is Poison, who I met at the Weardrobe Conference a couple weekends ago. The show itself was very pretty and feminine—more to come on the collection soon. As for my outfit, I bought this dress with my Mom when I was back in Seattle and have been waiting for the perfect opportunity to wear it. The only problem with it is that it’s super sheer, even with tights underneath. I finally found a navy blue slip that worked perfectly, thank goodness! I opted for my bight magenta belt because I loved the contrast of it against the turquoise. Then I threw on my new favorite necklace, (or belt, depending on my outfit) from Fred Flare and I was ready to go!

My Outfit:
Necklace: Fred Flare
Dress: The Vintage Closet in Ballard, WA
Slip: F21
Belt: The Vintage Closet in Ballard, WA
Shoes: F21

My Outfit: Allison Parris RTW Spring 2010

my-outfit-allison-parris1

Hi lovelies! So, I promise, that very soon, I will be posting the photos that I took of the amazing outfits from the Walter, and now, Allison Parris show. But, for now, here is what I wore to the latter show, which, I have to say, was absolutely amazing. I kid you not, I wanted every single outfit that I saw strut down the runway, which is rare for me. So, kudos to that!

And, as far as my outfit goes, I wore something completely different than what I donned this morning, mostly being the fact that I had some downtime between shows, so this meant that I could change and reinvent my look for the moment. So, I decided to channel my “back to school” look, which consisted of a high-waisted pleated skirt, little booties, a blazer and a handy tote! Comfy but cute!

My Outfit:
Hat: Urban Outfitters
Necklace: Necklush, sponsor gift from the Weardrobe Conference!
Shirt: Thrifted from Beacon’s Closet
Blazer: Ann Taylor
Belt: H&M
Skirt: Thrifted at Buffalo Exchange
Shoes: Lela Rose for Payless, sponsor gift from the Weardrobe Conference!
Bag: ?

Check back later this afternoon to see what I wore to Tibi, and to the after show parties! Hope you are all having a happy Wednesday! xoxo
