Just some online fun I wanted to share with you all, if you’d like to see. Shared my tricks of the trade with Glamour.com, and did a little guest blogging (purple denim+remix galore) for J Brand’s blog, “In The Pocket.” Check them out if you have a minute!

I was asked by the lovely Melissa from Glamour.com to submit some photos for a spring date outfit round-up. I was so excited to be a part of this, so thanks Melissa! Yay! Check out the rest of the photos on Glamour.com!
Inspired by: Pumpkin Orange
With Thanksgiving coming up, I am craving clothing in warm, spicy colors—the color pumpkin orange being at the top of my list. So, take note. The first photo is of Susan Cernek of Glamour.com, photographed by Garance Dore, which I believe was taken some time last year. Susan is such a sweetheart and has impeccable style, that I of course immediately grabbed this image and filed it away in my inspiration folder on my desktop. Then, over the weekend, I was styling one of my clients, Faye, and put together an outfit for her for Thanksgiving dinner. We ended up using her amazing orange scarf!
So, truth be told, with the holiday just a few days away, I think I am going to have to do a quick search and snap up my very own pumpkin-colored version. Thank goodness for New York street vendors and their plethora of “cashmere” scarfs. I’ll let you know what I come up with!
Cotton Candy Lips
I am loving Jessica Biel’s pretty pink lip color. I usually feel a little funny when I wear actual lipstick because I am so used to lipgloss, but with a color this pretty, I am willing to try it out. I also think red is really bold and have always been envious of women that can pull it off. Check out these two bloggers, Naomi and Emily, who look rockin’ in red. I love pencil skirts
Photo from The Daily Obsession via Celeb Look
I think pencil skirts are a very necessary and sexy staple for a woman to have. They create a lovely silhouette, are very feminine, and usually very flattering. And, seeing that I have a date tonight (eek!) and will coming straight from the office, I wanted to wear something that would easily transition from day to night-appropriate.
So, this is the outfit I opted for…a pretty ruffly shirt and a pencil skirt. I love how the earrings and belt add a little edge to the frilly ruffles, but the simplicity of the pencil skirt, clutch and peep-toes keep the over-all outfit looking feminine and polished. So, tell me, what would you wear on a date if you were coming straight from work?
Alright my dears…wish me luck!

Even more nerd chic on Glamour.com!
While perusing the fashion blogosphere, I came across this cool post on Glamour.com, which explains how exactly one can pull off NERD CHIC, which I posted about a few weeks ago. I am so excited because as much as I love the look and have been showing photos of hip girls wearing said glasses, I myself was unsure as to which shape I could pull off. To learn the perfect shape for your face, check out the tips and slide show here!
