Shot by The Sartorialist, this is a perfect outfit for the park. And the best part? Each item below is under $30! What’s better than that?!
Inspired By: Girl with Bike
I was on The Sartorialist today, catching up on the past few days worth of posts, and came across this cute girl. This photo was taken at Governor’s Island during the The annual Jazz-Age Lawn Party, which was this past Saturday and Sunday. I attended last year and had a blast, but sadly didn’t make it this time around. Maybe next year! If you haven’t been yet, I highly recommend you check it out!
P.S. I am working on a fun Get The Look for this outfit, so keep a look out for it tomorrow morning! SPxx
Get the look: Stylin’ in stripes
Remember my friend Amanda with the super cool nerd chic glasses? Well, she is back and looking fabulous as usual. She has this knack to pull together outfits so effortlessly—never looks like she is trying too hard, but yet always manages to wow me with her creations. This ensemble is one of her simpler, laid back looks, but it is just as cute. I am a huge fan of stripes and I love the combination of gray and red together. Add a simple bangle, and either a pair of casual converse or dressier wedges and you are set to go. Plus, don’t you love that each item is $30 and under? Cute and recession-friendly! What’s better than that?!
Get the Look: Channeling Blair Waldorf
I have been obsessed with this shirt ever since I saw Miss Queen Bee wear it on GG. But, if you take a second to read the price tag, and to notice that it is no longer available on Net-a-Porter.com, then you will quickly realize that an alternate option is needed. Stat. And, as much as I love the original—backless and sleeveless—I decided to poke around for a more practical version of this blouse, but wanted to make sure that the gorgeous ruffles and girlish, feminine appeal remained. That is when I came across this affordable little number on metrostyle.com, which is a fun website to check out. What do you think of the Bill Blass top? Would you ever wear a ruffled blouse?
P.S. Check out this post and all my others on BFR!
My American Apparel ensemble
Hello from wintry Washington! The snow is starting to melt a bit, which makes me sad because it will only turn to slush. Good thing I have my Hunter boots! Anyway, I finally found my camera cord and was able to download massive amounts of pictures—yay—which means I am finally able to share with you these few shots taken of me in one of my favorite ensembles. Remember this outfit?
Gotta love the mini trash canister in the background, but isn’t the wallpaper the best? A big thank you to L for taking these shots. SPxx
