How To Change Your Look With Accessories

side by side

OUTFIT DETAILS:

Sunglasses | Jacket | Scarf | Tank | Jeans (on sale!) | Mules (Left) | Shoes (Right) | Bag |Hat

I love how adding or taking away accessories can instantly change an outfit. In this case, I started out with the look on the left and half way through taking photos, I decided that I wanted to see what it would look like if I swapped out the cream mules for velvet flats, and add a hat. The two looks aren’t incredibly different but each have a different feel, if that makes sense. Which look do you like the best?

Outfit Remix: Wide Leg Denim, Two Ways

christine-scarf-6-700x1050

Remember this outfit from last May?

I’ve owned these wide leg jeans for a while now and have always loved how they look in person, but find that they don’t always translate when photographed, which is why I have only styled them twice for the blog (see here and here). That said, I thought it would still be fun to share the two outfits side by side and see which one you guys liked best. Click through to see more!

It’s day two of remixing this little pinstripe number, (see look one) and I’m excited to share a more casual version of this little dress. I wanted to give this outfit a tomboy twist, so I slipped on my new favorite sneakers by Matt Bernson and this fun French Connection varsity jacket. Both my photographer and I agreed that this look should be called “sporty spice” haha.Read more

Outfit Remix: Heartloom Pinstripe Dress, Look #1

heartloom-dress-with-bcbg-blazer-remix-3

Outfit Details:

Sunglasses: Karen Walker | Blazer: BCBG (similar) | Dress: Heartloom (gift) | Shoes: Pour la Victoire (via Marshalls)

Over the next three days I am going to be rolling out three different ways to style this dress from Heartloom. I love that it’s only $99, which after remixing it a bunch of ways, the cost per wear becomes really good! I also love the lace detailing, which is on the sides and front of the dress, but also on the back, which you’ll see in tomorrow’s post. Lace has become my new favorite thing – it’s just so pretty and feminine and adds a little umph to any outfit.

With a long blazer and strappy pumps, this look is all about being sleek and chic, but tomorrow and Wednesday’s outfits are completely different and I am so excited to share them with you guys, so make sure to keep checking this space all week!heartloom-dress-with-bcbg-blazer-remix-5By the way, in case you are wondering why my legs are bare, these photos were taken last week before the snow, when it was randomly 50 degrees out. I know that this outfit is no longer applicable to those living in colder climates, but to my LA and warm weather people, I hope you can draw some inspiration!heartloom-dress-with-bcbg-blazer-remix-6heartloom-dress-with-bcbg-blazer-remix-1

I meant to put this post up yesterday but came down with a cold overnight, which put me out of a commission a bit. I’m still under the weather but hoping I’m on the mend! Also, thank you to any of you that wrote to me on my Instagram post about how to beat a cold without drugstore meds – everyone’s suggestions were so helpful!
