My Outfit: My Evening with YSL
Okay, the title might be a little deceiving, but in my mind, it happened. A couple weeks ago, I was over at my friend Liz’s apartment and I was admiring her shoe collection. She pointed to these beautiful babies and asked my shoe size. It turned out that these heels never really fit her properly and that she would be happy to “keep them in the family” by passing them down to me since they fit so well. Needless to say I was in utter shock and pure bliss. I have never owned a pair of YSL heels, let alone a pair of high-end designer shoes, so this was a big moment for me. Sending out a huge thank to my dear friend, Liz.
Alright, onto the outfit du jour.
RayBan Wayfarers / H&M Necklace / ModCloth Agyness Top / F21 Polka dot Crop Tank / LOFT skirt / YSL Heels
Last night, my family and I went to the symphony to see Bugs Bunny on Broadway, which was phenomenal, and I decided to invite my YSL heels to come along for the night. I gave myself an updo for a bit of glamour for an evening downtown where we first had dinner at The Pink Door, then afterwards my 94-year-old Grandmother and I had an impromptu photo shoot in Post Alley. It was an absolutely lovely evening.
My Outfit: Staying Breezy
RayBan Wayfares / J.Crew necklace (gifted by Dove) / Mod Cloth Yangtze River Romper (sold out, sorry!) / Forever 21 Shorts / Coach Heels
I stopped into Forever 21 the other day and came across the perfect pair of high-waisted shorts. I was really taken by the detailing on the front, plus the material is super light with a breezy-like quality, which will be perfect for the humid weather I have to look forward to on Thursday when I fly back to New York. But, in the meantime, before I head back to a very steamy city, I am going to enjoy wearing them here, where it is a comfortable 75 degrees sans the humidity.
By the way, do you guys recognize this top? If you do, you would remember it in the form of a romper that I wore here, and tucked in, here and here. As much as I loved it as it was, I found that I wasn’t wearing it as much as I should be. So, I decided to partake in a little DIY project and ended up turning it into a cute little crop top.
P.S. If by chance, anyone is able to find these shorts online, would you mind sending me the link? I couldn’t find them anywhere on the website. Thanks! xoxo
My Outfit: In Black and White
Urban Outfitters Earrings / Banana Republic Blazer / Gifted Natori Top / Gap Boyfriend Jeans / Steve Madden Warrick Wedges
I hope you all had a lovely Fourth of July! My plans changed at the last minute and I ended up staying in town, but still had a great time. It was low key with no traffic, drama or stress, and consisted of eating and lounging on the couch with my best friend and her husband. We ate tasty polish sausages, corn on the cob and munched on homemade oatmeal cookies. When it came time to watch the fireworks, we grabbed blankets and foldable chairs and headed across the street to Greenlake where we had a prime view of the fireworks show going on downtown. It was an excellent time.
As far as this outfit goes, it was something that I just slipped on over the weekend to go grab happy hour drinks down in Ballard with a good friend. I’ve realized that I need to get these wedges in black, because as much as I love the cognac color, I think having them in two colors would be a good wardrobe investment.
Do you guys have a favorite pair of shoes that you wish you had in more than one color? xoxo

My Outfit: It’s All in the Details
I told you I’m having fun with my new camera. So, I know that I want to try out a different lens in order to get the right type pf photograph for the blog, but I have to say, the one that came with the camera is also great and works really well.
TopShop Trench (thrifted from Beacon’s Closet) / Banana Republic Shirt (from my Mom) / Denim Shirt (thrifted from The Goodwill) / J.Crew Necklace Gifted from Dove / Banana Republic Jeans ( from my Mom) / Steve Madden “Warrick” Wedges / RayBan Wayfarers
This look was inspired by a recent photograph I saw online at jcrew.com. I like the “buttoned-up glamour” vibe it gives off…chic, but playful at the same time.
My Outfit: At Home.
Banana Republic Shirt (give to me by my Mom)
So, as you can see, I am experimenting with my new camera and having an excellent time doing so. I’ve been taking a lot of random shots, as well as way too many self-portraits so I can see what works and what doesn’t. Right now, it’s sort of hit or miss, but very soon, I will have it down pat. So, thanks for being patient in the meantime. xoxo
My Outfit: More Lace, More Layering
Urban Outfitters Earrings / Necklaces from H&M and Buffalo Exchange / Gifted Cardigan (from roommate, need to find out where she bought it) / ModCloth Agyness Top (also seen in yesterday’s post, as well as here and here), Forever 21 Lace Tank / Forever 21 Skirt / Gifted Bag from Coach /Steve Madden Daynty heels
Once again, I resorted to a very similar combination as the outfit that I posted yesterday. I just can’t seem to get enough of this type of look lately! It’s so simple and easy, plus I really am a sucker for lots of layering.
Jenni and I at an event sponsored by Dove. It was a great time. We walked away with yummy smelling pomegranate and lemon verbena deodorant, which I definitely recommend, plus this gorgeous necklace. Thanks for having us, Dove!

My Outfit: A Room With a View
Urban Outfitters earrings / H&M Necklace / ModCloth Agyness Top (also seen here, and here), Forever 21 Lace Tank / Forever 21 Animal Print Tank / Forever 21 skirt / Gifted Coach Bag / Forever 21 Heels
I’ve been a little late in posting some outfit shots from events that I attended before I left for Seattle, so I thought now would be a good time to get caught up. After going through all my recent photos, I started seeing a trend. It seems I am really quite obsessed with these drapey tanks and cropped tops, and then combining them all together in different ways. I think it’d be fun to do a little remix round-up and see all the various ways I’ve worn this type of “formulaic ensemble.” Stay tuned!
Stunning views of Central Park and the city.
Event with old coworkers at The Top of The Rock.
