Happy Friday! I am so excited the weekend is here. I have plenty more photos to share with you, actually I have multiple posts that I will be putting up throughout the day, so please check back every so often to take a look, but in the meantime, here is a little shot of my new polka dotted blouse that I picked up at my trusty go-to store. Yes, Forever 21. You know it, and love it. Be back in a bit! xoxo
My Outfit: In the Jungle

Emma Stine Earrings (gifted) / Zara Vest / H&M Blouse / J.Crew Belt / H&M Skirt / Steve Madden Boots / Tulle Jacket/ H&M Bag
For anyone that lives in New York, you know how crazy it can be out there sometimes. Whether it’s the weather or the people or just the general energy in the air, you never know what you’re gonna get, which is what makes this place so electric, crazy, dynamic and wonderful…all in one.
I feel like this outfit has a jungle/camoflauge-esque feel with the animal print skirt, tall boots (hidden underneath) and the army green blouse and jacket. Maybe not, but I like all of the piecestogether. Can you also see how crazy the wind was with how my vest and hair are flapping around? Needless to say I was extremely chilly, but for the love of fashion, you guys and my blog, I stripped myself of my scarf and coat to snap a few photos of the day’s ensemble. LOVE.
(A couple weeks ago I went to a press preview and came across these lovely earrings by designer Emma Stine. They have everything I like in a pair of earrings…cool design at a great price. You should definitely head on over to her website to check out what she has to offer. I have already found a pair of earrings I want to wear to my friend’s wedding this weekend. Wouldn’t these pretty little gems be perfect with an elegant black dress?)
P.S. Also for those of you a. living in New York, b. that have a love affair with New York from afar, or c. that are just interested in a cheeky list of reasons why New Yorkers love New York, click here. :) xoxo
Trip to Cold Spring: A Photo Montage
My Outfit: One Fine Day
East Village Frames / Charlotte Russe Necklace (gifted) / Charley 5.0 Denim Blouse (gifted) / Scarf (gifted) / Tulle Jacket (gifted) / Thrifted Belt (Goodwill) / Wool Skirt (gift) / Thrifted Woven Flats (20Twenty Vintage) / Forever 21 Rings
Last week, while my friend Nicole was in town, I had her act as my photographer from time to time, and needless to day, she did a great job. We took a little walk around the neighborhood and found a quiet street to take a few shots. I have to say I really like the mix of colors and textures in this outfit. One interesting thing about this look, is that each piece of this ensemble was either gifted or thrifted, minus the glasses and the rings. I recently acquired this lovely Tulle jacket, and scarf from a Red Light PR Preview that I went to last week. They represent a ton of fabulous brands, which I’ll share all the photos with you soon, and let me take this gorgeous coat home with me! The denim shirt and necklace were gifted and the skirt was given to me by friend Ayn-Monique, shown here. Lastly, I thrifted the belt and shoes during my trips back to Seattle. Somehow they all made it into quite a lovely outfit together, if I do say myself! :)
Weekend Wear: It Is What It Is

RayBan Wayfarers / Style Sip (Kmart) Neck Warmer / Topshop Trench (thrifted from Beacon’s Closet) / Fred Flare Necklace / Charley 5.0 Denim Shirt / H&M Striped Tank / Patagonia Leggings / Steve Madden Boots
I forgot that we took these photos about two weekends ago during a strolling Saturday. It was actually the same weekend that these were taken.
This outfit was a product of wanting to be comfortable yet still look put together. I guess that’s usually the goal, but I knew I couldn’t go wrong with leggings and riding boots, which is a no-brainer in the comfort department.
I feel like this look is preppy-meets-urban, due to the combination of stripes, denim, trench and of course, my beloved RayBans. I’m a lso a huge fan of my nubby neck scarf that I was gifted from the Style Sip (Kmart’s new brand) Lounge that was set up at the Chictopia Conference. So soft and not itchy whatsoever.
Like the title says, it is what it is and what you see is what you get. Simple, straightforward and classic.
Outfit Remix/Style Challenge: Camel Cape, Version 1

RayBan Wayfarers / Urban Outfitters Blouse / Zara Cape / Seven Jeans / Franco Sarto Wedges
(thrifted from Beacon’s Closet)
So, clearly I broke down and bought the ever-so-beautiful cape that I posted about last week. Then, after chatting with my friend Krystal, she told me she bought it too, so we decided to team up this week and do a style challenge! We will be posting outfits again onWednesday and Friday of this week, so make sure to check back soon to see how we each style up our super stylish capes!
For this first post, I decided to start off simple and just style it in a very classic way. Over the course of the week I plan on getting much more creative and really style it up, but in the meantime, I give you my first cape outfit: classic, simple, chic. Now head on over to Krystal’s blog to see her first version of the week! xoxo
My Outfit: A Wandering We Will Go

Sunglasses (East Village street vendor) / Scarf (gift (?) / Banana Republic Sweater / Thrifted Etienne Aigner belt (Good Will) / H&M Skirt / HUE Knee Highs / Thrifted Vintage Boots (Screaming Mimi’s) / Coach Bag (gifted)
This past Sunday (actually the whole weekend) was full of no plans or obligations, which meant that I got to wander around the city with A with absolutely no place to be. It was wonderful. Not to mention, it was a perfectly clear fall day—sunny and crisp—which made for pretty neighborhood photographs.
As for the outfit…the inspiration came from Katy over at Kansas Couture. She and I own the same bright red skirt and when I saw her wear it here, I instantly became inspired. I love the tan sweater I wore, but in the past have felt that it never lays quite right. I finally experimented with belting it, which helped define my waistline, and felt that it did just the trick in adding that je’ne sais quoi.
It’s only Tuesday, but so far my week is off to a great start. I hope the same is true for you! xoxo
My Outfit: Event Hopping

Juicy Leather Jacket (gifted) / Natori Lace Top (gifted) / Urban Outfitters Skirt (also, worn here!) / Black Tights / J.Crew Belt / Steve Madden “Caryssa” Pumps
Last night I dashed down to a Charley 5.0 event in Times Square, where I met the adorable designer behind it all (she’s below, holding up her two favorite items), then headed down to The New Museum to the LOFT preview where I chatted with my friend Carolyn, and we both drooled over the gray and yellow striped cropped top (also shown below) showcased on one of the mannequins. It was a whirlwind of an evening, but definitely invigorating and very fun. I hope your Wednesday was lovely and I’ll see you all tomorrow! xoxo
