Happy Tuesday everyone! I’m headed out to the beach today for a fun event I’m hosting with UGG Australia and could not be more excited about it, so if you’d like see some fun photos from throughout the day, you can follow my Instagram here!
I hope the month of June is treating you well so far and that you are able to take advantage of sitting outside during these pretty evenings where the sun doesn’t seem to set until 8 or 9 at night. :)
P.S. I mentioned this on Twitter, but I am putting my lovely yellow bag (shown above) up for sale, so if you are interested, email me at mystylepill@gmail.com. xoxo
crazy about…weekend wear

This week has been quite the busy one and it’s still not over, but you’ll hear no complaining from me. It’s been a great past few days and the with the Jazz Age Lawn Party happening on Governor’s Island and some of my close friends coming into town from New Orleans, this weekend promises to bring even more fun.
Once Saturday hits, for me it’s usually brunch with friends followed by a leisurely day of strolling around downtown. But since I don’t often have a set plan for my weekend, I like to wear outfits that transition easily from day to night so I can go with the flow and stay out and about. This look, for instance, is a great example of something I would wear (I always keep a pair of flats in my bag for day strolling and then swap them out for my heels later on) and segues nicely into early drinks and dinner before heading out for the night. If I feel like I need a little freshening up, I spritz my face with this spray and apply a few layers of this bright red on my lips, and I feel good as new! xo
Miss Wu
Karen Walker “Super Duper Strength” Sunglasses / HRH Necklace (c/o) / Miss Wu Dress – now on sale! (c/o) / Top Shop White Leather Vest
Rebecca Minkoff Monogramed Pouch (c/o – I like this one too) / Bracelets: J.Crew and Charlotte Russe / Nine West Heels (mine are old, but here is a similar version, plus they are on sale!)

This cute dress is from the Miss Wu collection, which launched in January 2013 exclusively at Nordstrom and takes on designer Jason Wu’s vision of the “modern gamine with a hint of 1960s inspiration.” I love a bold printed sheath, but if this pattern is a bit too out there for you, here are a couple other similar dresses I’m loving at the moment from the Gap and J.Crew. Both sites are having online sales today, so definitely check them out!
P.S. I recently had the pleasure of popping into the new and updated Savvy department at Nordstrom the last time I was in Seattle and was interviewed for a fun little feature. You can check it out here! xo
remix: paper doll x ugg australia…the naima heel, two ways
TOMS Sunglasses (c/o) / Target Hat / Banana Republic Jacket / Zara Tunic and Shorts / J.Crew Bracelets / UGG Naima Heels and Straw Handbag (c/o)
Today’s Paper Doll remix series, which is part of a project I am creating with the Creative Council by UGG Australia, is all about my take on festival style at Hangout Fest, which is a super fun outdoor music venue right on the beach in Mobile, Alabama. I went a couple weekends ago with a group of friends and had an absolute blast. For my two looks, I based them around these Naima heels and straw tote and aimed to keep the two outfits casual and fairly beachy. I think heels with shorts instantly takes an outfit up a notch and makes it slightly dressier, but you could just as easily wear a cute pair of flat sandals for a more laid back feel.

Today’s Friday Favorites is going to be quick since I just got to the beach in Alabama to attend Hangout Fest for part two of my project with Creative Council and UGG Australia. We are headed out as I type but here is a quick shot of a few of my favorite things that I am loving at the moment. Happy Friday! xo
crazy about…hangout fest!
1. Tunic / 2. Shorts / 3. Shoes / 4. Lipstick / 5. Bag / 6. Hat
Happy Wednesday! So, I am back in New Orleans (again)! But this time, I am only here for a day or two before I head to Mobile, Alabama with friends to attend Hangout Fest, which is part of my Creative Council project with UGG Australia. I will be creating two more Paper Doll outfit remixes around these shoes and bag and will share them next week, but in the meantime here is a very similar outfit I will most likely be living in this weekend. I hope you all are having a lovely day! xo
