Happy Thursday! What’s up with this crazy rain, huh? I had to be out and about in the elements for part of the day and it was pretty brutal. Hope you all stayed warm and dry! Anyway, lately I’ve been super into soft slogan tees so I thought I would do a round up of my favorites from around the web! xo
While I was in Seattle this past March, I picked up these overalls as a nod to my 90s teenage self. It’s so funny how trends or pieces of clothing that we have sworn off forever (hello Birkenstocks!) come back as all the rage. But that’s fashion for you, and that’s what keeps it fun and interesting, don’t you think?

I’ll admit, until I get them hemmed a little bit, I was struggling with what shoe would look good with the current length and thickness of the cuff. A boot could look too western and a flat would make me look short, so I opted for a sleek, color block pump to dress them up a bit. How do you guys feel about overalls? This past weekend was one full of spontaneity and unexpected fun. I spent time with old friends and made new ones, celebrated two different Birthday parties in Brooklyn and enjoyed a cozy Sunday meal at The Meatball Shop in Williamsburg.

Hello, hello and happy Wednesday! In just a bit, I am running to an appointment with Anthropologie, then meeting up with my client who is in from Australia. On Monday we hit up places like J.Crew and Madewell for cute basics but today I plan on taking her to a few of my other favorite stores and boutiques in the West Village, such as Otte, Rag & Bone and Intermix for a different type of shopping experience.
As for my outfit, I thought it would be fun to share with you what I wore today and why.
Outfit breakdown: I’ve been living in my leather pants and go-to denim but today decided I wanted to break out the ol’ camo pants. I worked my way from there and opted for this cute new tee I picked up from Madewell and an oversized denim jacket from Zara. I could have added brighter accessories but instead kept them neutral and wore a bright orange lip for a pop of color.

How was everyone’s weekend? On Saturday, I met up with a new client who is in town visiting from Australia – I can’t wait to take her shopping this week. Afterward, I hung out with friends in the sun for a few hours before eventually making my way to a late dinner at Upstate Craft Beer and Oyster Bar. I highly recommend trying this spot – the oysters were amazing. Then on Sunday, I met friends for a very decadent and leisurely Easter brunch at The Top of The Standard. By the time we finished up, it was already late afternoon, but a few of us decided to change and head up to Levain in Harlem. It was pretty amazing because there was no line for their incredible cookies! But, that might have been because we got there 10 minutes before they closed. Once we had dessert, we thought it might be a good idea to get some actual dinner so we stopped into The Cecil for gumbo, broiled prawns and some collard greens. I finished up my weekend by being lazy in bed and making my way through the first season of Game of Thrones. So intense and so addicting!

Lately I have really been into leather pants, slouchy blazers and finding the perfect white v-neck. Maybe it’s been the rough winter we’ve had or the fact that I feel like my skin hasn’t seen the sun in far too long, but even now as the weather is finally starting to warm up, I still haven’t been reaching for any of my favorite dresses or skirts.
