My Outfit: A Day With Kim
The lovely Kim of eat.sleep.wear came to New York for Fashion Week and stayed with me for a night. We had the best time just being girly and talking about life and fashion. One nice thing about being friends with fellow fashion bloggers (among many other awesome qualities) is that they truly understand the whole photography side of the job. After our yummy breakfast of eggs and coffee, we headed over to my favorite street around the corner. It’s super quiet, old fashioned and is full of quaint stoops and ivy-covered brick. Kim patiently snapped a ton of photos until they were just right. She really is the best.
RayBan Wayfarers / Thrifted Buttondown (Value Village) / F21 Skinnies / Vintage Woven Flats thrifted from 20Twenty / F21 Bag
As for the outfit…I have been wearing these jeans a lot lately and love the dark gray/black wash and zipper detailing on the sides.
Currently my favorite bag that I snapped up at F21.
Loving the woven details on these flats. The shape of them sort of reminds me of the shoes that Ducky wore in Pretty in Pink, except his are white with buckles.
Trying to perfect my cat-eye makeup. It’s getting there!
The gorgeous Kim Kim!
She should be posting her photos soon as well, so head on over to her site and check ’em out! xoxo
Fashion Week Recap
I thought it would be fun to catch you all up on some of the fun things I did during Fashion Week, so I decided to create a mini photo montage of my favorite snaps from throughout the week.
Chictopia Conference
Kim getting styled up!
Lindsay from Cubicle Chic.
I was lucky enough to cover the Chictopia 10 Social Influence Summit and I got to hang out with many more lovely bloggers—old and new friends—and check out the cute items from Kmart’s new clothing line, Style Sip. I scored a cute black chunky knit scarf and a pair of lace-printed leggings.

Pretty, feminine pieces at Allison Parris.
Lori Goldstein’s LOGO Instant Chic “re-chic” Party!
The fabulous Lori Goldstein showcasing her awesome line, which is available on QVC. For some reason I’m posing and cheesing it up in the background.
Keiko and Bobby!
I met Claire from Faboo last September at the Weardrobe Conference, and a year later she moved to the city to start school. I hope to see more of her soon…she’s pretty awesome.
My dear friend Audrey made the macaroons! She is super talented and I like to invite myself over to her apartment for her homemade meals. They are delish!
Tory Burch Presentation
Gorgeous, gorgeous pieces at Tory Burch. I wanted everything!
The amazing and talented Karen!

On our way out, we ran into a bunch of street style photogs waiting to snap photos. My friend, Jason of Citizen Couture was there and he kindly took this photo of me and Keiko. :)
My Outfit: ModCloth Dress-up Party!
Rayban Sunglasses / Forever 21 Necklace / Thrifted Blouse (Value Village) / H&M Shorts /Steve Madden “Caryssa” Heels
Happy Friday! I hope you all have had a lovely week. I can’t believe how fast it’s flown by! Another Fashion Week is over and October is around the corner. So crazy.
Last Saturday I went to the ModCloth Dress-up Party and it was a blast. You can see all the fun photos here, but I finally got to meet one of my favorite blogger girls, Kim of Eat.Sleep.Wear. and hang out with some of my other favorites such as Keiko, Kimberly and Jessica. I also met many of the wonderful girls behind ModCloth (Turi, you rock!) and it was overall, a fantastic time.
I plan on doing a fun little recap of Fashion Week, so stay tuned for many more photos to come. Hugs to you all and enjoy today! xoxo
(P.S. Fun personal fact: The bar where the event was held, Ten Degrees, was where the A-man and I had our first date! It was fun to walk in and see the little table where we first sat. :)

My outfit of the evening: East Village Frames / Equipment Blouse / Urban Outfitters Skirt / H&M Bag / Juicy Leather Jacket (gifted) / Steve Madden “Caryssa” Heels
Fashion’s Night Out Recap:
Met up with Vanessa, Keiko and Kim at the Coach store uptown, where I finally got to meet the lovely Emily of Cupcakes and Cashmere…then we headed over to the Juicy store where we were interviewed by the glamorous Kelly… then we finally headed back down downtown, where we navigated the streets of the West Village and Meatpacking, which were chock full of blogger friends, fashionistas and fun parties.
I remixed my Equipment Tank Blouse, by tying it up and wearing it with my skirt I grabbed on sale at Urban Outfitters, paired with my favorite nerd chic specs. I eventually headed home, grabbed a couple slices of pizza, and fell into mbed. I must say, FNO was quite the success! xoxo
My Outfit: Wild Thing
Ombre Fringe Necklace (boutique in Utah) / H&M Blazer / Equipment Tank Blouse / F21 Skinnies / Steve Madden “Caryssa” Heels
Best friend, Liz, and my photographer for the evening striking my blogger pose. :)
Before I start in about my outfit, let me just say…Happy Fashion Week! For those of you involved, I hope it’s going smoothly. So far, things are going great for me, not too hectic, with fun shows and events ahead, and lots of fun faces to see! I wore this outfit out for my drinks with my best friend, Liz—we celebrated five years of friendship!—and then out to another industry party afterward.
I picked up this very “loud” blazer at H&M, and this amazing Equipment tank blouse at Intermix, which I have been remixing all week, (photos to come) and resurrected these skinnies that I bought a few years ago on F21. As for my accessories, I can’t seem to get enough of my black suede sky high heels from Steve Madden, and my ombre fringe-y necklace.
My thought process behind this ensemble was simply this: I love pink and gray together, so I created my look around my new favorite top (which I bought on sale in the two colors left) and gray jeans, but threw on the blazer to add some visual interest.
Have a fantastic week and I will see you all tomorrow! xoxo
My Outfit: A Change of Denim
Earrings (from my Mom) / Vintage Gold Necklaces (my Grandmother’s) / Urban Outfitters Blouse / Thrifted Belt / Forever 21 Skirt Thrifted from Beacon’s Closet / Steve Madden “Dannyy” Heels / Gifted Coach Bag
I love this blouse so much that I decided to wear it again a couple days later. But this time it was on a dinner date with A in New York, where the weather was much warmer. I decided to keep with the denim theme, but in the version of a skirt, and since it was a date, I opted for my lace up heels. Easy peasy!
My Outfit: In Alleyways
Urban Outfitters Earrings / H&M Scarf / Urban Outfitters Blouse / 7 For All Mankind Jeans / Urban Outfitters Flats
Did you all have a happy long weekend? I know I did…lots of relaxation and family time, which was definitely needed. As for today’s post, these photos were taken in downtown Seattle last week. My lovely friend Nicole was my patient photographer and I think she took got some pretty cool shots. We don’t have alleys in New York so this particular alleyway acted as a simple yet great backdrop for my spontaneous photoshoot.
As for the outfit: This is a fairly simple ensemble, but I felt very feminine in it, mostly because of the sheer blouse that I finally found at Urban Outfitters. This particular top has been sold out in New York for months, but magically I spotted it in the downtown Seattle location during a shopping trip with Alex, and was ecstatic. I picked up a few other great sale items as well, which I am looking forward to wearing next week during Fashion Week.
Alright, I’m off to catch my flight back to NYC…see you tomorrow! xoxo
