These photos were taken last weekend when it was much warmer outside and I was comfortable in just a sweatshirt and a leather jacket. Sigh. Spring, where are you?
P.S. Click below to see a few more photos of my favorite pieces I saw during my visit to the Robert Rodriguez collection at Coterie last weekend…

Happy Monday, everyone! Hope you all had a great weekend. I spent mine a bit under the weather, so I made sure to rest up by relaxing by the pool, catching up on magazines and drinking lots of juice and tea.
Today’s look is definitely on the edgier side, but I feel like the lemony-yellow colored bag brightens the whole look up and makes it a bit more cheerful, don’t you think?
P.S. I can’t wait to add this bag to an outfit for a colorful pop in the dead of winter when it’s all dreary and gray out. It will serve as the perfect pick-me-up. :)

This is definitely an edgier look than what I usually post, (quite the opposite of yesterday’s post!) but what’s the point of fashion if you can’t have a little ( or a lot) of fun with it, right? :) Hope your Wednesday is off to a great start! xo

RayBan Sunglasses / APART Tribeca Top Coat (c/o) / ModCloth “Morning Meeting” Top (c/o) / APART Leather Skinnies (c/o)  H&M Belt / Steve Madden “Caryssa” Shoes

I have had my eye out for a pretty red blouse for the holidays and am perfectly pleased with ModCloth’s version of this silky bow tie top. I foresee wearing this cheery number under blazers, dresses or on it’s own with a skirt, tights and heels. For this ensemble, I was in the mood for a mix: a little girliness up top (in the form of a bow and pearls) and some spiciness on the bottom (my new leather skinnies and leopard belt), to create the perfect outfit hybrid.

***I also highly recommend checking out their cute gift guides and pretty party dresses for this holiday season.***

A little sugar, a little spice, all is well, all is nice.

backtowork2

Today is dreary, rainy and wet, plus it is Wednesday, Hump Day, which can sometimes feel sort of painful. Meaning that, it is the middle of the week, so you know you have made it half way, but then the realization sets in that you still have two more days left until the glorious weekend. Not always a pleasant thought. But, I find that if you are having a hard time pulling yourself out from under the covers when the elements look treacherous, try dressing up in your most favorite or inspiring outfit and it might give you the jumpstart you need, instead of crawling back in for another 10 minute (or in my case today, 30 min!) snooze session. With that said, because this rainy, cold day has made me slightly blue,  I decided to perk myself up along with anyone else who is down, with this cute “first week back to work” outfit. Just looking at it makes me want to run home and change into a more spiffier outfit!

I found everything minus the tights and jewelry—which can be switched up with your own accessories—on this awesome shopping website called Pronto.com, where you can find great finds at a better price! Click below!
