We spent this past Sunday on a rooftop in Brooklyn, complete with blowup pools, a DJ, a bar and taco stand, and some incredible New York City views. I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves, but needless to say we had an absolute blast.
Hope you all had a fantastic weekend and here’s to a great week. Love to you all! xo
Happy Friday! I have been impatiently waiting for July 25th to come for a few weeks now because tonight I am taking Casey out for his early Birthday surprise. First we are having dinner, which he knows about and helped put together, but after that he has no idea what is in store for him. I really want to throw him off as to where we are headed after dinner so I might even blind fold him during the cab ride so he gets even more confused. I love surprises and I have a feeling that tonight’s is going to be a good one. Check back on Monday for my “Over the Weekend” post or follow along on Instagram tonight to learn what we did! Wish me luck! xo
Kept it simple and laid back for you guys today, with an easy breezy tank, lightweight jeans and suede booties. Okay, the suede booties might be a bit heavy for summer, but I just couldn’t stare at them in my closet any longer and not wear them. I recently bought them majorly on sale at Scoop, (who right now, is actually having a HUGE SALE) and decided I had to break them out a little early. Can you blame me? I love summer but is anyone else ready for fall?
I spent the weekend in Cleveland with Casey hanging out with his family and friends, and an adorable bulldog named Poe. We ate at some amazing places, such as Melt, where the grilled cheese is the size of your head, and The Flying Fig, where everything is delicious. And we spent some time on Lake Erie, and visited Strongsville, where he grew up.
Our first stop off for lunch on Friday was at Melt Bar and Grilled. I ordered the Wet Hot Buffalo Chicken and the guys ordered the War Pig. We only made it through half and saved the rest for lunch the next day. Best leftovers ever.
Since we all know I love a good romper/onesie/jumpsuit situation, I decided to break out this beaded jumper for kicks. I’ve worn it with flat sandals before but thought this time around I would take it up a notch and slip on some silver heels to give it a dressier feel.
P.S. Don’t forget today marks the beginning of the NORDSTROM ANNIVERSARY SALE! As a Seattleite, this was and still is my favorite time of year, especially since Nordstrom started in Seattle and it was always the favorite place to shop, aka the mothership. I will be working on a roundup of my favorite pieces, but in the meantime, you can shop the sale here! xo
When I first saw this dress I didn’t think it would work on my shape at all, but after slipping it on, I sort of loved how 60’s and mod it looked and felt. It’s technically a dress (although I opted to put shorts on underneath) but can act as a swimsuit coverup as well, which is what I plan on using it for when I go to Malaga, Spain next month.
