I meant to put this post up yesterday but came down with a cold overnight, which put me out of a commission a bit. I’m still under the weather but hoping I’m on the mend! Also, thank you to any of you that wrote to me on my Instagram post about how to beat a cold without drugstore meds – everyone’s suggestions were so helpful!

Ok, now on to the outfit! If you compare this look to what I wore on Tuesday, the two are actually very similar because everything I’m wearing is actually the same except for the sweater and the coat, which I just slipped on over my turtleneck.slate-and-stone-peacoat-with-aritzia-newsboy-cap-and-rag-and-bone-leather-pants-2The look is still monochromatic, but by adding a few layers the overall ensemble takes a slightly different turn. I love playing around with my clothing and re-wearing them in creative ways, even if it’s something as simple as adding or taking off a layer. I’m hoping that these types of posts are helpful in sharing how to rework, re-wear and shop your own closet. slate-and-stone-peacoat-with-aritzia-newsboy-cap-and-rag-and-bone-leather-pants-3To be honest, as a fashion blogger, I often feel pressure to always be wearing something new, but the thing is, I started out as a remixer all those years ago and I really want to get back to it. I worry sometimes that you guys might find it boring, or if something I’m wearing isn’t brand new it may not seem interesting. But I’ve realized what I want to work towards on the blog and that is really utilizing what I own and sharing easy ways to remix clothing into multiple outfits.slate-and-stone-peacoat-with-aritzia-newsboy-cap-and-rag-and-bone-leather-pants-4I would love also love to create more of a dialogue on here and am working to create a better and easier way to communicate within this space. You can also always head on over to my Instagram and chat with me there as well!

Thanks for stopping by and I’ll see you here again tomorrow! xo
