matters of the heart

the heart truth

Happy Tuesday! Sorry for the sporadic posts as of late – I’ve been enjoying home and spending time with my family as much as possible before flying back to New York so I’ve been away from my computer. But, now it’s back to work, and I am excited to share a new project with you all.
I will be working as an ambassador for the Diet Coke®The Heart Truth® program (the brand is in its sixth year as a supporter of the campaign) that is taking place right now, which raises awareness and support for women’s heart health programs. With February right around the corner and it being the American Heart Month, we are asking readers to upload photos to Twitter or Instagram with the hashtag #ShowYourHeart to help trigger a donation by Diet Coke to the Foundation for the National Institutes of Health (up to $100,000), in support of women’s heart health programs! Pretty exciting stuff and for such a great cause.

(I wanted to kick off the program with one of my favorite little heart photos from a beautiful place upstate I visited a while ago. My #ShowYourHeart moment from that trip was and is to always remember to slow down, smell the roses and enjoy the ones you’re with. As for my outfit, I wanted to wear something incorporating red to show my support so I went with this simple ensemble with clean lines and contrasting colors.)

Versace Sunglasses (c/o via Sunglass Hut) / J.Crew Shirt and Necklace / Lilly Pulitzer Pants (c/o) / F21 Shoes
I will also be attending the 2013 Red Dress CollectionSM Fashion Show in NYC during fashion week with Kim, and now you  have a chance to instantly be entered to win a trip to the show just by uploading a heart-inspired picture using #ShowYourHeart on Twitter + Instagram starting today through January 26th. Five lucky winners will be selected – one per day – and one grand prize winner will receive a shopping spree in NYC accompanied by a stylist. All good stuff, I’d say. :)
Make sure to follow along on Twitter and Instagram for more updates and photos as the program continues! Thanks for all your support and good luck! xo
