RayBan Wayfarers / F21 Shirt / J.Crew Necklace (gift) / Banana Republic Sweater / Need Supply Shearling Jacket (first worn here) / Target Jeans / Not Rated Saddle Boot
I cannot tell a lie. This outfit (and hair) was once again inspired by the stylish Blair, of Atlantic-Pacific. I put my own spin on this ensemble, but what drew me to this look in the first place was the buttoned-up blouse and how she paired it with something as simple a basic gray crewneck sweater creating a chic, ladylike combination.
But last weekend when I walked into the bedroom, wearing my blouse buttoned up all the way with my bejeweled neck decoration tied just so that it fell right beneath the collar, and asked A what he thought, he looked at me and said, “What’s up man-shirt.” Men and women really do have different ideas about what’s stylish. Le sigh.
But, I can’t really complain, because lucky for me, A does in fact recognize when something is stylish in the fashion world even when/if it’s not his favorite thing in “real life.” In the end, I do my best to always try and mix it up to create a happy medium.
I’m curious…does your boyfriend ever balk at anything you wear?
***Disclaimer: Don’t worry, A is extremely supportive and always makes it clear that he does not care what I wear as long as it makes me happy, but that if I ask his opinion on an outfit, he will always tell me his honest opinion no matter what. Gotta love an honest guy. :)

My husband always makes fun of my clothes! He says my ruffle shirt looks like “pirate shirts.” What does that even mean?!
I think you look great!

I love the combo of the shearling, button up and crewneck sweater! Such a great look and you always look so fabulous. I don’t have a boyfriend, but I still have many guy friends comment on things they find odd to wear, but I roll my eyes and remind them that I know everything and whatever I wear is amazing. They probably think I’m such an asshole, hehe!

My boyfriend is very up on fashion, and he always surprises me. I think he would prefer if I dressed like Audrey Hepburn, but yesterday dressed in a leopard poncho scarf thing, he loved…they always surprise you!

This outfit looks so classic. I really love the necklace.
I don’t have a boyfriend, but I live with my brother and he sometimes tosses a few confused looks my way before I leave the house

I think this is fantastic, especially with the necklace; it’s just perfect.

Loving the ensemble. The jeans are my favorite!
Yeah, my husband is very savvy when it comes to fashion but we have different tastes. There are very few things that I wear that he doesn’t like, but indeed they do exist!

Oh dear…my lover hates my shoes. He like flats, I like heels. He will say, “You look nice today…but those shoes…”

oh i have stories! my boyfriend has an impeccable sense of style but there are certain trends he just doesn’t understand. also: he prefers everything short and low-cut, which can get tiring ;)

My boyfriend doesn’t like when I wear tall boots in general, but especially my rain boots. He says girls go from boots to flip flops and he would like to see me in more “athletic shoes.” Oh, boys….

I love the bling on the buttoned up look – it’s a great way to mix up looks. Love it!
