This was the day that we decided to walk all the way from the French Quarter to the Garden District. (For those of you live in, or know Nola well, you will understand how far this walk was.) Our goal? To see The Lafayette Cemetery. About two hours later, we arrived at said destination. The amazing thing? All three of us walked almost the whole time in these shoes. (Lindsey and I are both wearing Nine West and Keiko is rocking a sky-high Jessica Simpson platform.) Actually, now that I remember, Lindsey didn’t bring flats, so she actually walked the entire time in her platforms without her feet falling off. I think that’s saying a lot about a shoe.
It was a wonderful day. We saw a bunch of different neighborhoods that ordinarily we would not have seen if it wasn’t for our meandering “jaunt” to the other side of the city. We actually had a great time and took tons of photos. Later that evening, we got gussied up to attend Sophomore’s fashion show, then went for drinks at the Ritz, and finally onto an amazing dinner at Lilette. The cherry on my sundae? “A” flew in for the weekend, and was waiting for me when I got back to the hotel. :) All in all, it was a fantastic evening.

This is Juley, an awesome Nola blogger, who writes the cool site, Swank Heights. I snapped this photo of her at the Sophomore show because I was so taken with her yellow dress and owl pin! Isn’t she so chic?
Had enough of Nola talk yet? No? Good, because there’s more to come tomorrow! :) xoxo
Hoseanna is a genius idea because they feature a flexible shopping subscription for all your legwear needs. If you’ve ever worn sheer nylons before, you know how annoying it can be when they rip or run five minutes after wearing them. You know the drill. You recently purchased, yet again, another pair of sheer black nylons for work and somehow during your commute, you managed to get a run or snag. I can’t tell you how many times this has happened to me and I find it incredibly frustrating. Even though the “ripped tights” trend can work with the right ensemble, it’s not an “everyday” look! The other issue is, I never seem to have time to go back and get more nylons! Sigh.
This is where Hoseanna comes in. They’ve even created different profiles to fit different lifestyles. So whether you are a working woman or a stay-at-home mom, all your hosiery needs can be met immediately. Curious to see which one you are? Check out all them out here!
I’m really looking forward to this opportunity and I encourage you all to enter immediately! :)
Sweepstakes Details: Starts March 31, 2011 and ends April 10, 2011.

Before the panel began, the four of us and the team at Sparkle Beetle (they are truly amazing) went to this yummy place called Capdeville and munched on fried red rice and beans and ham and cheese fritters. Yum. I don’t generally eat a lot of fried things, but I threw caution to the wind while down in Nola and tried everything. So. Good.
The panel, which took place at the Martine Chaisson Gallery during NOLAFW, was called “Creating a Compelling Voice.” It was absolutely invigorating for me. I’ve never spoken on one before and found myself extremely comfortable speaking to a large group. I think it helps that the questions were organic and natural and the I knew the topics at hand inside and out, but still. I loved every minute of it. The audience was fantastic and the room was filled with this amazing energy.
What I loved, was that we were all there to support and help each other by having this really great, open conversation about a mutual love: blogging. I was able to speak to some of the girls afterwards and they were all lovely and personable. I wish I would have taken more photos of the audience. Everyone was so well dressed and put together! So, thank you to everyone who came out, it was truly an amazing experience for me.
After dinner (I swear all I did was eat my way through this trip) we headed to Ste. Marie for a celebratory cheers and post catch-up session. The food, once again, was outstanding, but the company was even better.
The week recap isn’t over yet, so make sure you keep checking back this week. Lots of fun stuff lined up!

RayBan Sunglasses / H&M Blouse, Shorts / Nine West “Violanda” Espadrilles (c/o) / Lauren by Ralph Lauren Tote (c/o) / Coach Watch (c/o)
The first day in Nola was spent wandering around the French Quarter with Lindsey, Keiko and Bobby. We ate beignets and drank cafe au laits at Cafe Du Monde, took tons of photos and visited the Mississippi.
Before we knew it, it was time to head over to the gallery where the panel was being held. We were greeted by the amazing team at Sparkle Beetle Communications and sipped on champagne while going over the evening’s agenda.
I can’t wait to share more about the event and will be posting abou my experience (along with more photos) later tonight!
Lauren by Ralph Lauren Dress, Belt, Shoes, Bag / RayBan Sunglasses / Zara Jacket
I felt very sophisticated and grown up (I’m months away from turning the big 3-0) when I slipped on this classic linen sheath to step out on the town (aka wander around with Lindsey and take photos of pretty things) in New Orleans. It’s my first time here and I love it, but more on that soon!
This stylish little ensemble is from Lauren by Ralph Lauren’s new Spring 2011 collection, and I was lucky enough to pick my favorite look, style it up and share it with you guys! What I adore the most about this dress, is the chic leather detailing on the shoulder. The classic leather belt is such a timeless piece, not to mention the shoes and tote.
You can see all their other great looks on their online fashion show, which just launched yesterday, so take a peek here. I’d love to know, which look is your favorite?
The neat thing about this collection is that you no longer have to wait for the looks to hit stores, you can shop directly from RalphLauren.com and/or Bloomingdales.com. So shop to it! xoxo
F21 Hat / RayBan Aviators / H&M Blazer / Thrifted Denim Shirt / Lulu’s Dress (c/o) / Nine West “Violanda” Espadrilles (c/o) / Coach Bag and Watch (c/o)
I teamed up with Nine West to be a part of their “Must Lust” Espadrille Style Out feature and am loving the leather pair I picked. They are extremely comfortable and seem to go with everything. I really think the weather needs to warm up immediately because these will be perfect with swingy spring dresses and long romantic maxis.
A took these photos last weekend before we headed out to lunch. It was sunny and only a tad chilly. I’m glad we snapped these when we did, because the next day the weather went back to wind and rain. Lucky for me, I am headed out to sunny New Orleans today (!!!) where it is 80 degrees, for their fashion week and will be speaking on a blogger panel along with Keiko and Linsdey about national blogs and local fashion. Woo! But, more on that tomorrow…
In the meantime, check out some more fun photos on Nine West’s facebook page and follow them on twitter! Oh and if you want you should follow me on twitter too! Happy almost Friday! xoxo
