Seeing that it’s the start of a new year, I am in the mood to change up my hair a bit. First off, I am going to get a haircut and possibly get my bangs back. Secondly, I am playing with the idea of trying out a slightly darker shade for the winter months. Those are two things that I can do immediately, but the third thing I want to try and attempt, is to grow my hair out to the length in the photo above. I’m not saying it will be easy, but I am going to give it a shot. I have always loved long, romantic mermaid-esque locks, so here’s to growing my own! Wish me luck!

Be patient, and get it trimmed from time to time. Don’t go to a hairdresser who cuts off more than you want. Go to a hairdresser who listens when you say you want to grow it out. That’s what I did, and my hair is pretty long right now.

good luck growing out your hair! can’t wait to see your new hairstyle. i’m currently trying to grow out my hair as well. it’s hard maintaining it with all the split ends and so on.

I love the long hair as well. I had beautiful long hair in college and chopped it off after I got married because it seemed easier, WRONG! It was actually more work to style it…but now I’ve been growing it back for about a year and hopefully in 6 more months it will be back to the length that people use to compliment so much.
