Last night I went to a going away party for my dear friend Wendy, who is leaving us to head to California, and was talking to my friend Amanda about seasonal, fall food that we were craving. She kept using the word autumnal as she described a lovely dinner party she had recently attended. I decided that I really like the word autumnal, and am convinced it subconsciously played a part in me getting dressed this morning.

So, my outfit. It was a crisp, blustery day, so it seemed only appropriate to wear warm tones and colors that reminded me of butterscotch, vanilla, chocolate, with a pop of plum for fun. Can you believe Thanksgiving is just around the corner? Don’t get me wrong, I love Christmas and December, but there is something about the autumnal seasons that is just so special. What is your favorite fall outfit to don when the leaves change?

You’re going to laugh, because it’s so normal, but I love to put on burnt orange when fall arrives. I just get into all the beautiful tree leaves, and I can’t help it!
