Yesterday was spent running around to fashion preview appointments in the rainy weather New York is currently experiencing, so I wanted to make sure I was dress appropriately—a nice combination of stylish and sensible. Instead of just wearing the dress by itself, so for fun, I decided to layer this high-waisted denim skirt over the top of it and have the dress peek out at the bottom. I think it added an interesting element and a little flair to a fairly basic outfit. Thoughts?

Necklace: Grandmother’s vintage watch on chain
Skirt: Thrifted from Beacon’s Closet, originally F21

Shoes: F21

i like the look of the dress peeking out of the bottom. ive noticed that you wear this dress a lot but I think you use it very differently in this look. i like it a lot

i enjoy this ‘over layer’ effect! it’s giving me ideas, especially because have been an icicle in the office lately. i never really thought about bundling on the bottom :)
