On Friday afternoon, Casey and I hopped on a bus and headed to Boston for the 4th of July…

I haven’t done an “Over the Weekend” post in a while, but thought it would be a fun series to bring back. Do you guys enjoy them? Let me know in the comments if you want to see more posts like these!
So on Friday afternoon I headed out to Brick, New Jersey for a girl’s weekend at my one friend’s new weekend house she just bought. It was a much needed getaway and I savored every second of it. Being a water baby (my Birthday is this Saturday!) I am totally at peace staring at the water every day. Click the read more to see more photos…

Flying vibes – stripes and oversized sunnies, always.
On Friday, I flew home to Seattle for a little family time, which was just what I needed. As much as I love New York, sometimes I just need to be on my other coast to feel grounded and renewed.
I have some fun videos coming up this week and will have even more outfit posts and videos to share the following week after Memorial Day weekend, but for now, here are a few photos from my phone over the past few days. xo
Even though this photo is a little grainy, (I really need the iPhone 6!) isn’t this view incredible! This was taken about 20 minutes (flying time) away from landing in Seattle. Aren’t those mountains breathtaking?!
My beloved Barney, and my Dad’s morning latte that he makes me, complete with a Barney foam face.
I have really been loving my new hair color, (thanks to Francesca at Arrojo) especially when it’s curly. It makes me so excited for beachy hair and summer.
My amazing Dad at the beach with me yesterday, helping me taking photos for the blog, and videos for YouTube. Dad, yare the best ever.
My sweet friend Jenna, who I have known since I was five, came over on Saturday and brought paint, a brush and paper so that I could make a Barney paw print to frame for my apartment. Such a sweet and genius idea.
Barney “hiding” in the plants outside in our backyard. He is such a funny pup.
Having a moment at the beach, soaking up the sun and lovely weather.
I hope you all had a fantastic weekend! xo

My travel outfit. This lightweight denim jumpsuit is from Citizens of Humanity is so comfortable with just the right amount of slouch. Since the flight to Cleveland from New York is super quick, I opted to wear a sandal with a low, chunky heel, which are by Tahari that I found at TJ Maxx a while back. But whenever I fly for longer than a couple of hours, it’s sneakers and leggings all the way. :)
My sunglasses are from Karen Walker, my bag is by Proenza Schouler, the jacket is from Maje and my suitcase is by Hartmann.
Here are two places you can purchase the jumpsuit:
Hello friends! How was everyone’s weekend? I spent the past four days in Cleveland with Casey and his family, where we surprised his sister for her Birthday. It was such a great time and it felt nice to relax and spend time with loved ones. Unfortunately, poor Casey was battling a cold throughout it, but we managed to still really enjoy ourselves and check off some very important things on our to-do list. These crucial things included: going to Target and TJ Maxx, eating at Chick-fil-A, taking in a baseball game and getting a pedicure (me, not Casey :)
The view of Manhattan from the plane window.
We actually doubled up on our order so we could each have one to heat up and eat later on. The spicy chicken sandwich is JUST SO GOOD!
At an Indians game!
I went with our good friend Kelly and her daughter to get pedicures. She had so much fun getting her little toes painted, it was fun to see how excited she was about her blue nails. :)
(You can’t really see my toes in this photo, but I opted for bright white!)
The gorgeous blossoms at Casey’s parent’s house. I saw them just in time, because the next day, they all started falling off the branches. They also smelled so amazing!
As always, thanks for tuning in and reading this blog of mine. I really appreciate your support and love reading your comments! xo

Wore this outfit to dinner and then over to a friend’s apartment to watch the fight on Saturday night.
I’m very into denim on denim right now, and a good flare legged jean!
Me and my love. :)
Pretty excited about the transformation I am planning for my hair. I started the balayage process a few weeks ago and am going in for my second session this week with the goal to look like SJP in season 6 of SATC. So stay tuned!
On Sunday, Casey and I went over to our good friend Liz and Zack’s apartment for a rooftop BBQ. It was such a beautiful day, with perfect weather, great food and good friends. A great way to wrap up a super fun weekend.
Me and Liz. We have known each other for almost ten years and met when we were both interning at InStyle!
And a few more random photos from last week…
I went to the Empire State Building to hear Mamrie Hart read an excerpt from her new book, You Deserve A Drink. She was hilarious and I had a great time. To top it off, I got to meet Grace Helbig, which I totally fangirled out. But lucky for me, she was super lovely and gracious, so that was a major plus.
On Friday morning, I attended a brunch for The Makeup Show. Love a good colorful nail polish wall. :)
The cherry blossoms are blooming everywhere, which is my favorite. I can’t get enough of them!
I shot a couple outfits with Lydia last week – will be sharing them with you tomorrow!
Spent Friday night on the couch with this little furry love. So glad we adopted her. It’s hard to remember what our life was like before her!

This past weekend, Casey and I celebrated our one year anniversary! (If you follow me on snapchat at mystylepill then you would have seen all of our silly videos.:) We started with brunch at Extra Virgin, then made our way up to The Met, where we planned to celebrate with a glass of bubbly on the rooftop, but unfortunately it doesn’t open until May 12th. So we decided to just take a long stroll back through the park and take in all the amazing scenery that Central Park has to offer, especially during the spring. The cherry blossoms were out of control beautiful.
Later on in the evening, we got all dressed up and went to dinner The Dutch, then afterward headed over to the bar where we first met. It was fun to reminisce about that first weekend together and laugh at the silly photos we took that first night.
We have done so many great things together this past year and had some really awesome experiences. I love you, Casey, thank you for the best year of my life! xo

Casey and I spent this past weekend in Dallas on behalf of Mary Kay to attend the 50th Anniversary of the Academy of Country Music Awards, which was an absolute blast. I should be getting more photos from the weekend soon and will share them once they arrive, but in the meantime here are some iPhone snaps from the past few days.
My welcome goodies at The Joule Hotel :)
Inside Mary Kay’s original office!
I finally got to wear my WHITE BIRKS. YES!
What I wore to attend the ACM Party For A Cause. I love these cowboy boots…I found them in a vintage shop years ago and unfortunately never really wear them, but they were definitely perfect for this weekend!
Casey and I just before they evacuated us from our seats due to a tornado watch. Yep. That happened. We spent the next few hours huddled wherever could find some shelter from the crazy blowing wind and rain. Sadly, we missed the show all together because they didn’t resume until 11:30PM. Such a bummer, but an adventure nonetheless!
And finally, all dolled up for the 50th ACM Awards! We all got our hair done at Era Salon and the very talented Luis, who works on Project Runway, did my makeup. I was thrilled with the outcome.
I will have more outfit shots of what I wore this weekend up tomorrow as well as a new YouTube video, so make sure to check back to see all of that. But if you want to see more behind the scenes from this weekend, find me (or sign up if you haven’t already) on Snapchat and follow me at mystylepill. I snapped a bunch of live music by Garth, Reba and more!
Hope you guys had a great weekend and I’ll see you tomorrow!
And thank you Mary Kay for having us, it was an amazing weekend! xo
