TGIF! I am so ready for Saturday and Sunday to be here.

Here is what I plan on doing this weekend:

Sleep in. Drink lots of tea and coffee. Eat eggs and french toast at brunch. Walk around TriBeCa. Snap random photographs. Hold hands with A. Sip wine at dinner. Sing along to Mary Poppins (we might go see it this weekend!). Sunbathe (with sunscreen) in Central Park with friends. Drink more tea. Eat at Whole Foods’ Sushi Bar. Sit on magic couch with A and watch TrueBlood. Sleep for eight hours.

Enjoy your weekend wherever you are, and I’l see you bright ‘n early Monday morning!

This weekend, I am headed out to Rocky Bay, where I will hang by the water, eat lots of yummy food, and spend time with friends, family, and lots and lots of dogs. I hope you all have a happy and safe holiday weekend.

Happy rainy Monday everyone. What did you do this weekend? I spent my time taking lazy naps by the Hudson, listening to good music, taking more cat naps, and wandering around the city. Sunday night, we cooked up a yummy homemade meal of King salmon, sauteed potatoes and a light strawberry spring salad. I even made a (relatively healthy) Fat Elvis for dessert!

On a fashion note, check out these killer wedges from Steve Madden. They are sky high but totally easy to walk in because of the double platform, which adds extra stability. I especially like the way the black parts of the shoe really pop against the light all-denim outfit.

Yep, it’s those same jeans again! They were my first pair of Seven jeans, which I think my Mom bought me back in 2002. Wow.

So, this outfit was extremely simple and easy to put together. As you can see, there isn’t too much to it, but there is something I love about it. I just paired an over-sized men’s white button-down with worn-in jeans, a trench and flats. Oh, and a pretty navy scarf to keep me warm, my lovely navy Kristin Hobo, courtesy of Coach, and a brelly to keep the raindrops from falling on my head!

The Sunday Times, a really strong Americano, and amazing company. That’s a pretty fantastic combination, don’t you think?

I’m not really a baker, but I like to do it. It was sort of overcast and rainy on Sunday, and I got the urge, so I made organic chocolate chip cookies, complete with peanut butter and Nutella! The batch made about ten cookies and almost 3/4 of them were gone by the evening. Guess that means I did good!

It’s finally Friday! Who’s excited?! I definitely am. Tonight I’m having a mac and cheese dinner with my dear friend Becky (check out her fun blog, Reblogged) at Macbar where all the dishes come in little macaroni-shaped bowls. Then tomorrow I am going to hit up the new LES flea market, which I am super excited about, then later on I’m seeing a movie premiere with my bestie, Liz. Hurray for weekends! Saturday, albeit the bitter cold, was the most lovely, leisurely day. It started with brunch at Prune in the East Village, which was delish, and I had the best bloody mary ever. But, there was a bit of wait beforehand, so we wandered around the neighborhood and came upon Bespoke Chocolates. It’s totally hidden in a deserted alley, yet so adorable and has the yummiest chocolates ever. We bought some that came in the pretty red box and munched on them after brunch at a little coffee shop around the corner. The rest of the afternoon was spent shopping and browsing until finally it came time for my Godmother to arrive in from Seattle! She was my very special Valentine last night, and we even went to go see Valentine’s Day, the movie. How fitting, right? It was a perfect way to end the evening. I actually really enjoyed it because, well, I love cheesy, lovey, feel good movies. Don’t you? Now your turn. Did you have a special valentine this weekend?

Wow, it’s already Monday again. This weekend flew by in a flash, but I had a great time. Friday night consisted of a low-key dinner in the LES at a french cafe, followed by three types of ice cream, chill music and great company. I wore my new sheathy/silky top that I scored from Urban Outfitters on sale for $20, over the top of my black romper that wore here, on my Birthday, and also here while I was at home in Seattle over the summer. I chose my gray lace tights and tall boots to a bit more warmth since it was pretty chilly outside. Stay tuned to hear about the rest of my weekend and what I wore, later today!

Whee! I love this jumping photo. My expression cracks me up! So yesterday, despite the rain and cold wind, was a great day. I met a friend for coffee and a croissant and then wandered around SoHo and TriBeCa all day taking in the glorious architecture that is downtown Manhattan. Someday, I’ll live in a spacious, sun-drenched loft in TriBeCa. I think that must be every New Yorker’s dream!

So, as far as this outfit goes, I put it together at the last minute, but really liked the end result as well as the combination of polka dots, plus the two different plaids. The main theme of this outfit turned out to be varying shades of blue, with gray as a neutral and a few pops of red for some fun. What did you do this weekend?

Happy Monday! Wow, last week was a such whirlwind of amazing fashion shows, parties and friends. I had a blast but by the time Friday came, I was plain exhausted and needed a day to recoup, so I’m sorry for not posting. But, I’m back, refreshed and ready to take on the week. So, yesterday, I got my hair cut—shorter bangs and more layers—and then spent a lovely day with my good friend, Liz, laying out in the sun, catching up, and then later eating ice cream, and then sushi…in that order. Just what the doctor ordered. What did you do this weekend?
