When I first saw this dress I didn’t think it would work on my shape at all, but after slipping it on, I sort of loved how 60′s and mod it looked and felt. It’s technically a dress (although I opted to put shorts on underneath) but can act as a swimsuit coverup as well, which is what I plan on using it for when I go to Malaga, Spain next month.

Happy Monday! I’m heading to the airport now to fly back to New York, so I’ll make this quick. We had a jam packed weekend, but here are a handful of photos to show a few of  the places we visited while in Nashville this past weekend. We had a fantastic time in this great town and I can’t wait to come back! xo

Hope y’all have a great Monday! xo

Hi y’all! (Yes, I am feeling very southern right now.) So, we’ve been in Nashville only a day and have already experienced great food and drinks at The Farm House, The Southern, Patterson House and Rolf & Daughters. Needless to say, it was a fantastic introduction into the bar and restaurant scene. It was a scorcher yesterday so this flowy maxi was a perfect choice for the 90-degree weather we were experiencing.

Today, we are hoping to check out Edgehill Cafe and the Cheekwood Botanical Gardens, then eat dinner and maybe  go bowling at Pinewood Social. Afterward, I am hoping to hear some live music at either the Listening Room or The Bluebird Cafe. I can’t wait and hope to get some great photos this weekend.xo

Hey y’all! I’m very excited to share that I am flying to Nashville today with my dear friends, Keiko, Helena, Lauren and Amanda! I am so excited for this long weekend away with these girls and can’t wait to take in the food, sights and of course, the music. We are renting a cute little house and have a great itinerary lined up thanks to the amazing Lauren. And lucky for us, Keiko has been there a bunch (her adorable cousins live there) and knows her way around, so I know we are good hands. However, that said, if you know of any hidden gems or amazing spots that we must go to,  please share!

I can’t wait to report back, but until then, follow me on Instagram - I will be posting up a storm! :)

P.S. I happen to be a huge fan of the show Nashville as well as country music fan, so this is going to be HEAVEN for me. :)

A few weeks ago I was lucky enough to join the Olympus team down in New Orleans to test out their new TG-3 and the E-M10 cameras. Over the course of a couple days, we stayed at The W Hotel in the French Quarter, had dinner at some great old school places, such as the Bourbon House and Arnaud’s, took a ghost tour, and visited a plantation as well as a swamp, where we fed alligators marshmallows! You can see some of my photos from my time in the city here, but below are some of my favorites that I took during the second part of the excursion. (All photos were taken with Olympus cameras.)

These alligators blended in so well with the water. They would sneak/swim right up to the boat out of nowhere!

The guide fed them marshmallows, which they loved. ( The guide assured us that feeding them this treat is not actually bad for them – phew!)

I couldn’t stop taking pictures of the trees and Spanish moss that seemed to be everywhere. I didn’t grow up with vegetation like that so it was fascinating to me.

I spy a little turtle!

Overall it was a really great trip. It’s fair to say that I spend a lot of time down in New Orleans, but this time I was lucky enough to see Louisiana in a different light than before. I especially loved capturing different shots on the plantation and during the swamp tour since I had never really ventured outside the city limits, so I saw things with fresh eyes for sure. I also had such a fun time playing around with the different cameras and lenses, chatting with the Olympus team and meeting everyone that was a part of our group. Thanks for having me Olympus, I had a blast! xo

This past weekend, for those of you just catching up, was spent in Charlottesville, Virginia for my good friend Rachel’s wedding, which was held at her family’s vineyard. But before the actual festivities began, my friends and I had a couple days to explore the area, and of course we went wine tasting! We only visited a couple wineries, but they were really great and the property and views were spectacular.

First up was Glass House Winery. We tried their Viognier, which was great, and sat down by the water on their dock.

After some relaxation in the sun, we ventured onto Moss Vineyards and sipped on their rosé, which was also really lovely and refreshing.

Me and Emily, goofing off.

My Saturday was spent at the City Market in downtown Charlottesville, where I indulged in a really tasty bagel, egg and cheese and enjoyed looking at the pretty produce and flowers.

I didn’t get to actually eat at The Whiskey Jar, but heard it’s great. If you’re ever in the area, check it out and let me know what you think!

Saturday night, we all headed to Ankida Ridge Vineyards (my friend’s husband’s vineyard), where we had to be taken up to the house (and later on the vineyard) by a tractor. Yes, I sat on a bale of hay in my dress, which was pretty amusing, especially because the ride was up a steep, steep hill. I had to use my oblique muscles to keep from falling sideways, ha!

Perfect comfort food.

Such an amazing weekend over all. Congratulations Rachel and Nathan!

And to you my dear readers, thanks for reading as always. It means the world to me.

Happy Tuesday! xo

This past Memorial Day weekend was pretty incredible. I hopped in the car with friends early Friday morning and drove down to Charlottesville, Virginia for my friend Rachel’s wedding, which was held at Stinson Vineyards, her family’s winery. The bride was gorgeous and glowing, the weather was amazing and I was surrounded by great friends -  it was such a perfect day.

Introducing Mr. and Mrs. Vrooman!

My dress is from Rebecca Taylor (gift), heels from Zara and necklace from Bauble Bar (gift).

One of the funniest parts of the evening was when Rachel’s father began his speech and all of a sudden all the cows from across the road gathered together in a row, and began listening.

Hey guys!

I have a lot more photos to share from over the weekend but didn’t want to overload you guys in one post, so stay tuned over the next few days! Hope you all had a great and relaxing holiday! xo

We drove back from Orange Beach, Alabama yesterday and spent the rest of the late afternoon walking around The Warehouse District where my friend Lauren lives (and generously let us stay while we were in town). The light was so beautiful, which of course led to an impromptu photo shoot. I feel like it’s finally summer, at least in New Orleans where it was 80 degrees today, so I went all out with mixing and matching bright colors and patterns.
