ASOS Leather Jacket (here is a brighter version) / J.Crew Blazer and Necklace (similar version I almost bought) / Zara Shirt / Gap Cords (old) / 3.1 Philip Lim Bag (am in love with this color as well) / Pour La Victoire Wedges (bought via Gilt)
The other night I partook in a very cool photo shoot along side Keiko, Lindsey, Tess, and Helena, who I finally got to meet! She is the beautiful girl behind the lovely blog, Brooklyn Blonde, and let me tell you, she is just as lovely in person. (She was the one that actually inspired me to buy the skirt I’m wearing, which I got it on sale at ASOS for $18, after I first saw her wear it here.) I just have to say, I feel so lucky to have met so many wonderful and inspiring women in this industry and be a part of so many amazing opportunities. I’m a lucky girl. xoxo
Remember this girl’s adorable outfit? Well, I recreated it except with my own twist…I wore the rust-colored piece on the bottom and the neutral color up top. But, you get the gist. On another note, I think part of my winter uniform is going to involve ankle boots. I never used to think I could pull them off, but when worn with socks or jeans, they are a pretty cute and easy way to look good and still be comfortable.
Here are a few favorite ankle boots that I found on the cool new shopping site, Style Find. Loving this chic pair by Tory Burch, this cozy pair by BCBG and this military-inspired pair by Nine West. xoxo
Two things: 1. I will own a sweater like the burnt orange cropped cardigan in the first photo. 2. I will wear it and recreate the outfit above.
How cute is this ensemble? Seeing that it is winter and super cold out, the only things I will add to my look will be tights to wear under the socks, a large nubby knit scarf and a cozy jacket. Done and done.
I recently had a reader post a comment asking where she could find fun bright tights that were affordable, would fit well and look great. (I personally love bright tights and think they look amazing on, not to mention I have an entire bin designated for own my colored tights.) Whether or not you order them online or buy them in stores, you can’t ever really try them on, so to make sure you buy the right fit, just read the sizing chart, which is usually located on the back of the packaging. I would also go into the store, like Forever 21, Filene’s Basement, American Apparel or H&M if you have them in your city and check out the selection. Sometimes websites don’t always list everything that is in the actual shop. To see more, click here to see all the colors of the rainbow from ASOS’s collection. And, click here to see fun ways to wear them!
