This outfit sums up my usual Sunday attire, which always seems to involve a simple v-neck and my favorite pair of distressed jeans. I opted for my bright new red heels for a pop of color to spruce up this look but always carry a pair of flats with me just in case, especially when I am out and about all day. I added an equally bright red lip and my favorite go-to bag to create an easy day-to-night look. What's your Sunday style?

Happy Tuesday everyone! I'm headed out to the beach today for a fun event I'm hosting with UGG Australia and could not be more excited about it, so if you'd like see some fun photos from throughout the day, you can follow my Instagram here!

This week has been quite the busy one and it's still not over, but you'll hear no complaining from me. It's been a great past few days and the with the Jazz Age Lawn Party happening on Governor's Island and  some of my close friends coming into town from New Orleans, this weekend promises to bring even more fun.

Once Saturday hits, for me it's usually brunch with friends followed by a leisurely day of strolling around downtown. But since I don't often have a set plan for my weekend, I like to wear outfits that transition easily from day to night so I can go with the flow and stay out and about. This look, for instance, is a great example of something I would wear (I always keep a pair of flats in my bag for day strolling and then swap them out for my heels later on) and segues nicely into early drinks and dinner before heading out for the night. If I feel like I need a little freshening up, I spritz my face with this spray and apply a few layers of this bright red on my lips, and I feel good as new! xo

Last June, around this time, I visited my best friend and her husband in London, where they lived for two years. We spent a couple days around town before heading to Paris  for a girls weekend, then made our way to Florence and Venice where we up with her husband for a long, food and fun-filled weekend. It was such an amazing trip and I have the fondest memories from that time in my life. So, I thought it would be fun to take a look back to last year and see what I was wearing, so here is a little smattering of my outfits I wore during the trip. This cute dress is from the Miss Wu collection, which launched in January 2013 exclusively at Nordstrom and takes on designer Jason Wu's vision of the "modern gamine with a hint of 1960s inspiration." I love a bold printed sheath, but if this pattern is a bit too out there for you, here are a couple other similar dresses I'm loving at the moment from the Gap and J.Crew. Both sites are having online sales today, so definitely check them out!

Today's Paper Doll remix series, which is part of a project I am creating with the Creative Council by UGG Australia, is all about my take on festival style at Hangout Fest, which is a super fun outdoor music venue right on the beach in Mobile, Alabama. I went a couple weekends ago with a group of friends and had an absolute blast. For my two looks, I based them around these Naima heels and straw tote and aimed to keep the two outfits casual and fairly beachy. I think heels with shorts instantly takes an outfit up a notch and makes it slightly dressier, but you could just as easily wear a cute pair of flat sandals for a more laid back feel.

I am a sucker for simple and classic pieces that go with anything, and a clean white tank is just the thing for that tricky transition from spring into summer. In the cooler months, layer it under a blazer or boyfriend sweater of your choice, and then as it begins to warm up,  just rock a tank and shorts for an easy and chic look. I like to add heels to dress up a basic ensemble like this one, but you can always opt for a lower wedge if a high cork keel is feeling too much for you. I always love pairing two unassuming colors together that should clash, but instead end up complimenting each other. In this case, mint with a splash of neon not only makes me think of an ice cold mojito, but offers up a fresh and fun look for summer. xo
