Okay, so this dress is case of love at first sight. Honestly, I walked by it once on Bleecker street about a week back, and drooled over it, but kept on walking. Then, this past weekend, by happenstance, I walked by the store again, but this time, I dragged my friend in after me, and after five minutes in the dress, it was a done deal. Anyway, since we are being totally honest here, yesterday, I put on my pretty new party dress, and wore it it for like 20 minutes—just sitting cross legged on my bed doing work—before actually getting dressed. I also created this outfit for pure fun and haven’t actually worn it out of the house yet. Methinks that needs to change asap.

This weekend was pretty much amazing. I spent Friday night with a couple girlfriends being girly, sipping wine and eating cheese and crackers. Saturday, I had a working lunch with my friend Karen of Purple Lab—check her out her amazing products—and afterward, ended up at Westville, a lovely little restaurant on West 10th. I am not usually a huge pie fan, but their blueberry pie was to die for. If in New York, I urge you to go and try it immediately! Later that evening I went and saw Crazy Heart, and ate a late night cup of chicken noodle soup at Bubby’s in TriBeCa.

Sunday was also pretty glorious, and was filled with sunny weather, live jazz, spicy bloody marys, sweet french toast, and lastly, some awesome art at The Armory Show. I hope you all had a lurvely weekend! xoxo

Just hanging out with The Glamourai and the girls of The Owls Are Not What They Seem, in Josie Natori’s elegant Manhattan apartment. No big deal. (LIE.) Oh, and that’s her just to the left of us.

What an amazing evening last night was. We were treated to a preview of Josie Natori’s essentials, which were beautiful, drapey and luscious. I was called up while she was showing us everything to try on one of her tops. I died. The material was like butter. Other little tidbits that happened throughout the night: impromptu concert with Josie on the piano, and a peek into her personal closet. Let’s just say I was speechless for most of the night.

Stay tuned to see the outfit I created around the lovely gift I received on my way out. Let’s just say the piece is lacy, stretchy, soft, and amazing.

Happy, happy Thursday! First off, I would like to wish my dear friend Jenni, of Daily Work It, a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY! For quite some time now, I have been slightly obsessed with getting a pair of over-the-knee boots that have a heel. Don’t get me wrong, I love my OTK black flats, but when I saw Krystal’s in person while she was in New York, it just cemented my dire need to purchase a pair of my very own. So, when I saw these on the Steve Madden website, I was smitten. They come up super high, but the heel is just the right height. The cherry on top? They are comfortable and easy to slip on over jeans. Perfection. Now I just can’t wait to wear them with black sheer tights!
