So we just had our first day in Newport, Rhode Island at The Chanler and it was pretty awesome…

A few weeks ago I was lucky enough to head up to Chatham, New York thanks to Garnet Hill, with Grace and Krystal but realized I hadn’t shared the rest of the photos that I took while I was there. So I thought today would be a good opportunity for a mini photo diary!

The house we stayed in was so adorable and I couldn’t get over the colors of the leaves. I felt like I matched the foliage! :)

You might recognize this photo…

Here’s a snap of my room and some the fun goodies from the brand. I have been burning the two candles from Haus Interiors (Manor Haus in Basil Ginger and Gate Hause in Birchwood) nonstop. They make the whole apartment smell amazing! Unfortunately it’s been a bit too warm to wear my monogrammed PJs, and sweet wool slippers from Garnet Hill but I fully intend on cozying up in them once it’s get a bit cooler outside.

This is a photo of the pool that is outback. Sadly we didn’t take advantage of it, even though it was heated. But admittedly I did forget my swimsuit so that would have been an interesting situation!

Before dinner, we headed to the Hudson-Chatham Winery where we sat outside by the fire pit, sipped wine and munched on cheese and crackers. We really lucked out with the weather too – it was warm with just enough of a cool breeze in the air.

Afterward we headed back to the house where we had a delicious farm-to-table meal prepared for us, then sat by the fireplace and roasted s’mores. Pretty perfect evening if you ask me!

Before heading back to the city, we had lunch in the town of Hudson and I picked up the most amazing smelling candle from Source Adage NYC called North Atlantic. So good.

Thank you so much, Garnet Hill, and to everyone who was involved in making this amazing getaway happen. xo

This is a bit of a throwback post at this point, but these photos were taken by the talented Alex Ignacio when I was in Santa Fe with my parents, in early September. I had stumbled across this cute place called Modern General, (which is also opening up a new shop in Austin shortly!) and they got in contact with me about doing a fun mini photo and video shoot showcasing the shop. Alex Ignacio is the photographer who works at Narrative Media, and who was kind enough to shoot these photos (as well as the video, which is to come soon). It was just fun to work together on such a short and spontaneous basis especially with such an amazing shop and space as our backdrop.

For those of you that followed me along on my Snapchat, you definitely know about these cowboy boots. My parents and I went to Kowboyz to find a good pair and I ended up walking away with these bad boys. I really can’t wait for it to be a fall and style these with some dark jeans, a white button down and a leather jacket. Yes, yes and yes.

Thank you so much Alex – you are so talented and I can’t wait to share the video you created! :)

I hope you all have a great week and make sure to check back on Wednesday for the newest Weekly Edit post here on the blog, and my newest video on my YouTube channel! xo

Hat: Panama Hat from Spain / Dress: Forever 21 / Necklace: Forever 21 / Boots: Kowboyz

We arrived in New Mexico yesterday in the late afternoon, hopped in a rental car and made our way to Santa Fe. After settling into our cute little B&B, we drove into town to explore the main downtown Plaza area. The light was so beautiful and it was the perfect temperature outside.

After walking around a bit and checking out the shops, we headed to dinner at Tomasita’s for some classic Northern New Mexico cuisine. We had yummy crisp beef tacos, blue corn chicken enchiladas and sopaipillas, which I had never had but really enjoyed. Everything was so good!

Afterward, we hung out in our suite and played a few hands of Rummy before heading to bed. All in all, it was a great day and I am so excited to explore more tomorrow!

P.S. Please feel free to share any recommendations you might have of places to eat and shop in Santa Fe and Taos! xo

Guess who’s flying out to Santa Fe tomorrow?! ME! I’m pretty excited to have a change of scenery that is so drastically different than the two coasts that I call my homes. I’m looking forward to desert, dry heat, large open spaces, turquoise… Yep, you could say I’m super stoked.

So I thought instead of sharing outfit photos today, I would do a little roundup of some inspiration photos that I found on Pinterest that struck me as very Southwest meets Boho-chic, if you will.

I’ll be honest, I packed extremely light for this trip home to Seattle and Santa Fe, but I brought with me a few brightly colored dresses, a pair of fringed boots and a couple of hats, which I plan on wearing all this week, so I promise to share a bunch of outfit photos this Thursday as well as next week too.

I also plan on doing some light shopping in Santa Fe and Taos, hopefully snagging another piece of turquoise jewelry, since I absolutely love the ring my parents bought for me from their last trip to Santa Fe, and maybe an accessory or two (read more boots and hats).

Anyhoo, here are some photos that are inspiring me at the moment. Stay tuned for my YouTube video tomorrow, which will share what I am bringing with me on my trip, as well as the usual Weekly Edit blog post, which will feature more shoppable Southwest-inspired, must-have pieces for the wardrobe! xo

In case you haven’t seen my turquoise ring that I am referring to above – here is a photo of it below.

Hey guys and happy Tuesday! Today’s post is all about what I wore down to Dallas this past weekend! I went courtesy of Mary Kay,  to learn more about the brand, visit their headquarters and attend the 50th Anniversary of the ACM awards! (They were one of the official sponsors.)

For those of you that follow me on YouTube (you can subscribe here!) I made a packing video last week, which shared everything I brought with me on this trip, and I mentioned I was going to share the outfits I wore. I didn’t get as much footage as I wanted because the trip was such a whirlwind and we got caught in a tornado watch!!! But at least I was able to document (both on video and in photographs) two different looks, one of which I wore to the awards ceremony!

I wore this dress by Donna Morgan to the ACM red carpet and awards ceremony. My earrings are from Bauble Bar, my shoes are from Schutz and my bag is from UGG. Luis Casco from Project Runway did my makeup and the lovely girls from Era Salon styled my hair! They did such an amazing job, I felt so glamorous! :)

I have owned this gorgeous silk shift dress, which was a gift from Calypso, for months now but it has just been too darn cold to wear it! So I was over the moon that I finally was able to in Dallas this past weekend. I wore this look to my meeting at the Mary Kay offices and then to lunch afterwards.

You can purchase the dress here!

(Side note: Make sure to wear a slip underneath this silky white sheath because it’s pretty see through!)

These are my vintage cowboy boots! I’ve owned them forever but never really wear them.

I think I need a sleek black pair. Wouldn’t those look amazing with black ripped jeans and a leather jacket? Yesss. If you guys know of a great place to buy vintage boots, let me know!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you guys have a great week! xo

Look 2: Earrings: Bauble Bar / Dress: Donna Morgan / Bag: UGG / Heels: Schutz / Lipstick: Mary Kay

P.S. For those of you that have commented on my hair – I did in fact color it again! I worked with Arrojo on this and am planning on sharing my “hair color plan” with you guys soon. Hoping for it to eventually look like THIS!

Hi guys! Today is a very special day because it’s my Dad’s BIRTHDAY! We are celebrating by spending some time as a family on Orcas Island, one of our very favorite Pacific Northwest getaway spots and soaking up every minute of it. I decided to try and capture the beauty of this place by making a little video for you guys, so if you would like to see, hop on over to my channel (have you subscribed yet?!) to take a look. xoxo

Spending the next two nights at the Outlook Inn.

I’m wearing Karen Walker sunglasses, J.Crew cashmere scarf (this is on sale plus an extra 30 percent off!) and denim shirt (currently 25 percent off with the code SPRINGSALE), Frame jeans and Rag & Bone booties. My suitcase was a gift from Hartmann Luggage. It has been the perfect travel companion. :)

Totally in heaven here…

A bunny!

The incredible view from our room.

This past Sunday, we took a little day trip to Tarifa, to celebrate our friend Jami’s Birthday. It was about a two hour drive from Malaga, so we got up bright and early to beat the crowds and spent some quiet time on one of the nearby beaches. We soaked up the sun, applied massive amounts of sunscreen, ate more tapas and sipped cold beers. After a few hours, we drove back into the old part of town, which was just beautiful. The streets are narrow and winding and the views surrounding the town are incredible. It’s one of the ports where you can catch a ferry to Africa, which is also pretty neat.

I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves…

The keyhole-shaped entrance to the old and original part of town, which was settled in 1292!

This whole trip, I let my hair air-dry, constantly wore my sunglasses (but that’s nothing new) and wore no makeup, except for the occasional swipe of mascara and a peachy lip color. I lived in my bathing suit and constantly had sand in my hair, but it felt pretty great to just be au natural and not worry about anything else. Sunday was no different for the most part, but I knew Tarifa was a special place and we were celebrating so I felt like slipping on something a little more dressy than just my usual shorts and tee. I had packed this dress hoping to wear it at least once, and it turned out to be the perfect piece to slip on to enjoy the second half of our day. I definitely had beach hair, which was still drying in these photos, so I wore my new favorite Panama hat and a bright lip for a pop of color.

Fresh nuts and coconut slices!

Thanks for following along over the past week and a half while I’ve been away in Spain – it’s been so fun to share these photos with you on the blog as well as Instagram. I hope you’ve enjoyed it as much as I have! xo
