The party was super fun and bustling full of industry people, influencers and celebs such as, Kate Bosworth, Jessica Alba and Jaime King, and of course the two amazing founders of Who What Wear, Hillary Kerr and Katherine Power.
There was a photo booth, a full bar and a monogramming station where you could get your initials on one of the cute clutches they were gifting attendees.
Happy Thursday, everyone! I hope you’re surviving this wet and dreary weather. Thankfully, this weekend is supposed to be a bit nicer, so if you’re downtown in the city during the afternoon, come hang out with me at the Bloomingdales in Soho! I will be there from 1-4 along with Nixon Watches and InStyle magazine, where we will be sharing the new watch styles available (a perfect holiday gift!) as well as offering helpful accessory styling and stacking tips! (See official invite below.)
This past Saturday and Sunday, I spent the afternoon at two different malls, Roosevelt Field and The Westchester, and hosted two styling events with bloggers Rach Martino, Ian Crumm and Lake Louis put on by Simon Malls, GQ and Glamour magazine. There were runway shows, style challenges and of course, a fun lounge where shoppers could peruse the latest trends and pieces we love for fall. We were pretty much busy non-stop both days, but managed to capture some photos with what went on, to share with you guys!
The styling challenges begin! Rach and I each called someone up from the audience, they were given a challenge, and had two minutes to complete it! The winner went home with a $100 gift card to Simon Malls!
During Fashion Week I was asked to host an event at the Marimekko Flagship store on 5th avenue. I was excited to host and be a part of this because my relationship with the brand goes back to my days as a home design editor when I was working in magazines. So this time around, it was fun for me to be involved in the clothing side of things versus only home decor. I loved picking out my outfit – hello striped shirt and amazing horse pants! And to feel extra special for that evening, I was able to snag appointments beforehand with The Stylisted to get my hair and makeup done. The day of the event, I felt so pampered. The girls,Kailie Joe and Natasha Vinson came to my apartment and all I had to do was sit there and watch a movie while they worked their magic. It took the stress off of me of having to get ready because all I had left to do was show up at the Marimekko store, change into my outfit and I was ready for the night!
Needless to say, the party was a blast with so many fun people there supporting the brand. I gave a little speech at the beginning of the night, then spent the rest of the time mingling and meeting a lot of customers who have been wearing Marimekko for decades. There was a DJ, champagne and a photo booth, which I think almost everyone used at least once. (I know I used it at least three times!) But I would say the photos above and below, taken by Andrew Werner, tell the story of how colorful, electric and fun the event really was, so make sure to click below to see the rest of the photos from the event. They’re really fun, trust me. :) xo
Happy Tuesday! Last week I attended a Juicy Couture event thrown by SheKnows for the launch of Juicy’s new perfume, Viva La Juicy Couture Gold. It was held at Gold Bar downtown, which was the perfect venue since not only was the name fitting but the decor was extremely decadent and dripping with gold embellishments. There was champagne to be drank and perfume to be spritzed, plus a super fun photo booth that Casey and I beelined for where we draped ourselves in a pink boa and funny accessories. The night was quite a success and I’ve actually been wearing the perfume nonstop. It has notes of vanilla, golden amber, berries, honeysuckle and caramel. Super sweet, but somehow not overly so. Casey sure seems to like it, so that always helps. :) If you pass a Sephora or Nordstrom anytime soon, stop in and give this perfume a try and let me know what you think! xoxo
Yippee, Fashion Week is here! Can you believe it? How it’s already September 3rd, I have no idea. But it’s an exciting time of year for fashion, and starting today all through next week, it’s going to be crazy, fun, fast-paced and my days will be filled with nonstop shows, events and parties.
And speaking of events and parties, I am proud to share that I will be hosting an event with Marimekko next Wednesday from 5PM-8PM at their New York flagship store on 5th avenue. There will be cocktails, special savings, and I will be giving styling tips and advice on how to incorporate fall trends into your wardrobe, plus how to mix patterns, which Marimekko is famous for. You should definitely stop by. :)
Happy Wednesday! I love that the week is half over because that means that Friday is only a couple days away and I am hosting a very fun event with Lucky Magazine and Swatch. If you are in town, swing by and enjoy some sweets and treats with me – I would love to meet you. Hope to see you there! xo
Just a quick recap of the event with Ethan Allen that I hosted last week with Nicole Gibbons and Suzanne & Lauren McGrath! Sponsored by Hearst, we celebrated the Grand re-opening of the Ethan Allen Flagship Store at 1010 3rd Avenue @ 60th Street!
The four of us we were asked to choose and showcase our favorite pieces from the new collection. It was so fun pick everything out and design my own little vignette!
