Remember Firecracker Popsicles from the ice cream truck when you were little? This skirt completely reminds me of those summer treats, and of 4th of July. I picked up this fresh little number at Forever 21 the other day and couldn’t wait until Independence Day to wear it. Instead, I decided to wear it immediately and with something equally as bright. I am in love with this bold J.Crew blouse in “Poppy” and own it in “Olive Moss” as well.

I want to take a minute and discuss this outfit. I’ve realized that this combination of items—a blouse, skirt, and sleeveless trench—is my sort of go-to uniform. This mixture, so matter what colors or textures I’m wearing, is what I gravitate to when I want to feel put together and feminine without trying too hard. Do you guys find that you have a uniform?
