Urban Outfitters Hat / H&M Sunglasses / J.Crew Necklace, Sweater and Purse / F21 Jeans / Zara Boots / Accessorize Ring
Let me ask you…how do you guys feel about cable knit sweaters? Or any thick knit sweaters for that matter? I love this version from J.Crew (it’s a pretty tan/oatmeal color) but am still on the fence about whether or not I think it’s actually flattering. The problem being, I literally feel thicker when I wear it, like an inch or two has been added to my upper half. And I don’t feel comfortable layering anything under it because that adds even more bulk. (And you know I like to get my layering on.) It really is a love/hate relationship. Do you have any pieces in your closet that fit this description?
On another note, aren’t you happy it’s Friday? I sure am. Have a wonderful weekend, friends! xoxo

I feel exactly the same way when it comes to cable knit sweaters (precisely why I don’t own any!) That being said, you look fabulous so I think you should break yours out more often!! Happy Friday!!

I agree – I flip through catalogues (like j.crew) and see models looking amazing in chunky knits, but I feel very bulky and shapeless when I actually put them on. For me I think it really enhances my chest (in a bad way) and that’s what makes me look bigger in a cable knit? I think you did a great job styling it though, pairing it with the skinny white denim shows that you are still definitely a skinny-mini of a girl! :)

I am beyond excited for this Friday, been a long week of meetings, events and work and I cannot wait to hit the couch and snooze for a few lol (pathetic I know).
Love you outfit!

LOVE cable knits but I usually avoid them (or anything ribbed, booo) because I’m extremely hourglass shaped and the lines are really unflattering on me. I do love heavy sweaters and just make sure I wear very slim (i.e. tight!) bottoms. It looks great on you!

I love chunky sweaters when it is freezing outside. At that point, I care more about being warm than looking slim. :)
You look great! I wouldn’t worry about adding inches. It is a very pretty sweater.

Totally agree! Especially when you have boobs, it’s an even bigger problem! But nonetheless, you look gorgeous!

I kind of LOVE this sweater on you!! I don’t love wearing super thick sweaters myself, but seriously, you made it work!! Gorgeous, as always!

I feel the same way when I wear cable knit sweaters but let me assure you, you look like you’re just wearing a nice comfy sweater and not that you’re 2 inches larger.
