Yesterday, I briefly mentioned that on Saturday I went out to Governor’s Island for the Jazz-Age Lawn Festival. It was loads of fun to watch everybody dance the day away, all dressed up in their 1920′s finest. The live band was really wonderful, and so was the tangy pulled beef on a bun. Afterward, we wandered out onto a nearby pier and played around with my camera. It was so nice to finally have someone behind the lens instead of setting up my tripod. By the way, I credit all these photos to A, who was my wonderful photographer.

I can’t wait to do the Jazz Age festival next year! It looks like so much fun. Governor’s Island is such a great escape from the city.

Oh, I wanted to go to the Jazz Age thing – but I was dissuaded by the crushing heat. I’m such a baby.
