How was everyone’s weekend? Mine was quite full and very fun. Here’s a little run-down of the past few days:
Saturday: We hopped on a ferry to the beach over in Sandy Hook, NJ, where we ate lunch al fresco, then took a nap by the ocean. The weather started to get a little iffy so we headed back to the city for a yummy dinner of ramen and beer at Ippudo.
Sunday: We headed the opposite direction on the train up to Beacon, NY. I first read about this quiet little town on my friend Becky’s blog, and thought it sounded like the perfect day trip. It definitely was. We wandered around town, ate at a tasty restaurant called Homespun Foods, grabbed icecream at Beacon Creamery, and ended up at the old Nabisco Factory, now known as the Dia: Beacon Art Foundation.
Monday: Yesterday was low key and lazy. We lounged on the grass along the Hudson, read magazines, listened to music and napped some more. All in all, it was the perfect long weekend spent with one of my favorite people.

wow – sounds like such a fun weekend. I live about 15 mins from Beacon! My weekend was barbecues, swimming, playing around & naps lovely naps :-)

I had a great weekend too! Had an awesome old school slumber party with a bunch of my favorite girls, went out dancing with one of my besties, did a little baking (mmmm muffins!) and had a hula hoop party. Good times!

I’m so glad you found the museum in Beacon! Weren’t the 4,000 postcards from Niagara Falls the cutest? I can’t wait to hear all the details! :)
