Two things about this outfit. One, my new fur felt fedora from Hats in the Belfry, called the “Belfry Bernice,” arrived this weekend, so I of course had to wear it immediately because it’s just so cute! Two, my ensemble is directly inspired from this look, taken from the lovely Christina of Second Skin. She has this genius way of wearing button-downs by wrapping and tucking instead of just buttoning and tucking. I have a feeling I am going to be rocking this technique a lot in the near future. Since I’m still searching for the perfect pair of high-waisted, peg-legged pants, I wore my new flare jeans that I picked up at H&M for $5!
So, I know I have asked you guys what your favorite blogs are, but do you have any sites that you know you can go to, and hands down, always find inspiration? A few of mine are, This Time Tomorrow, Second Skin, and The Uniform Project. I’d love to know yours!
Happy Monday!
xoxo

For brevity’s sake, I’ll just give you one. I’ve really been digging Buffalo Stance recently. She’s funky but in a very accessible way. Plus I love when someone pulls out a Neneh Cherry reference.

Great hat. I love the slouchy look of the top worn like that. It’s so flattering wrapped. I saw Christina wear that style too, and while I like it, I’m wondering, did you have any trouble keeping it closed throughout the day? Did you wear something under it? Is it a bigger shirt to begin with? Basically, how do you make this look work?
For fun work clothes, I always look to Kasmira at whatiwore2day.blogspot.com. For out-of-work styles, I recently discovered and love Dirty Hair Halo (seekingdirtyhairhalo.blogspot.com)

Christine, this look is fab on you AND Christina! I did something similar for awhile with my cardigans, back in the day when Sarah Jessica Parker did a Gap ad campaign doing this wrapping style with her cardis (remember the days when Gap ads were actually interesting?)
As for blogs, I have several that are wonderful, not one more than another, so I would like to give you and your readers a couple of names that I don’t see mentioned as often as (I think) they should, because I visit them daily: Punky, of http://punkystyle.com/ , and my chicas de EspaƱa, Paula and Andrea of http://lovingmypeeptoes.blogspot.com/
