I will admit that I loved my outfit from yesterday. The blouse and blazer are the same from this look, except this time I layered with a striped tank underneath. I then changed it up with some wide-legged trouser jeans, my new trench (look at the pleats in the back!) and a kicky beret.
The first group of photos were shot as I was on my out to run errands and grab some lunch from Blue Ribbon Bakery. And the second batch of photos, as you can see, is how I ended up having to actually wear the coat and hat, along with a marigold-colored scarf. It was a tad chilly out, to say the least. Once I ducked inside after running around in the cold, I was sad to remove my Parisian chic-ness of trench and beret, but perfectly happy to fill the void with deviled eggs and creamy tomato soup with toast. YUM!
Before I sign off, I wanted to ask you all a trench coat question…A. Do you own one? B. If you do, where did you get it? I sort of want to get one more…I love them THAT much. Thanks, dolls! xoxo

oh my gosh, i LOVE this! i have a green beret that i got on sale years ago and have never, ever seriously worn. lately, i’ve been itching to wear it while it’s still cold enough without feeling like i’m trying too hard for a gamine vibe and losing my style. this is perfection!

Loving all of the details you put into this outfit! The wide leg jeans look great with the skinny belt- makes your waist look tiny!

I’ve got a trench! I love it. I bought it at Old Navy. Such a great price.

P.S. You can see me wearing it in this collage (bottom right): http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2675/4096248455_7d93dafd42_b.jpg

Francine: Cute trench! I wonder if that is the same one that Krystal, from This Time Tomorrow, has…her’s is from Old Navy too!

Love the outfit! I especially love the jeans! I have the same trench from Old Navy but I also have 2 from Target that are nice! Your bag is pretty fab too!

Super cute!!!
And to your coat question: No I don’t own any. I don’t think they’re too flattering on my shape and living in Phoenix, not too practical either haha!

love the new trench! where did you get it?? i, too, own a trench and it’s similar in color to yours–kind of an off-white. it’s calvin klein, i got it at lord and taylor i think. i love it and feel sophisticated and very put together in it, but i’m always a little concerned with getting it dirty since it’s a lighter color. i think i need a dark brown trench as an alternative.

i love the wide leg jeans with the trench, it looks really pretty :)

I would LOVE to own a trench but haven’t managed to find one that I like. I’m kind of on the shorter side and since trenches are so long, they end up coming almost to my ankles! It’s just not a look I was going for : P So until I find one that is petite enough I’ll be forever looking….

I keep looking over the pictures trying to absorb every detail. This silhouette is such a classic. Lovely!

Love this look! I have seen others in this trench but so far I think you have done it best… simple and sleek.
I own a trench with a navy blue and white pattern on it I got from Target last spring on clearance for $20. I get compliments on it every single time I wear it, without fail. I saw in the store they have ALOT of trenches again this season.

2: light pink, vintage, purchased at a salvation army
3: white, from Express
I wear all 3 an love them!

I have a great new trench that I got at lulus, it is bb dakota. I too am interested in buying another trench. Target had some great mossimo trenches. The quality looked great too and they are water resistant.

I was also wondering do forever 21 shoes run small or large ? I was thinking of ordering some online but not sure. I wear a 6 1/2 and wasnt sure if I should get a 6 or 7. If you could answer this I would be really grateful. I have asked this question on other blogs and been ignored. Thanks so much for your time.

I LOVE everything about this look–the beret, the jacket, the trench, and those jeans! Those jeans are fantastic–I see a trip to H & M in my future…

I have a trench… got it in Paris from The Gap in 2000 if you can believe it!?!? I bought my clothes way to big for me back then and the cut is very wide, so I don’t wear it now – my or less hang on to it for sentimental reasons. :) Love the one from H&M though!

this is such a great, chic look for you! :)
a trench is actually next on my list of things i want, including some great oxfords. i actually have no idea where to start looking for one for the spring but i’d probably check out some department stores.

I own a very similar trench from H&M, so I dont think that was helpful, but I know that Banana Republic carries some nice styles that sometimes..just sometimes…are on sale. I think this look is very very flattering on you!

very cute looks…I’d love to be able to wear a beret…every time I try, I look ridiculous for some reason…you look super cute in it!

I have always loved those jeans. But do your feet get uncomfortable having to always wear heels with them? I find that to be an issue with my long pants.

I love this look, very chic and it makes you look so tiny!
When I happened to come across my trench coat (at discount store Marshall’s of all places-I never shop there…) it fit all the right criteria…It was a petite, the color is a fun silver blue, it happened to be Michael Kors and it was actually under $100! The downside was that I found it in March, which in Texas is already in the high 80′s. I literally had to wait until December to wear it!

What a fun outfit! I love it. That trench is amazing.
I love trenches and would totally buy one if I found the perfect one and it fit! I always have a problem with the shoulders and sleeves being too small….

I can’t get over the chicness here. Love the jeans. Love everything!

I can’t believe those are target jeans.
If I wasn’t at work, I’d be on my way to hunt those bad boys down…
also the trench is perfect!
