Yesterday, on my way home from the UES, I decided to cross through the park because it was just so dang pretty out. The leaves were these brilliant mix of oranges, yellows and reds, and since my outfit was anything but colorful, I thought the juxtaposition of my black and gray ensemble against the vibrant hues of the autumn backdrop, would be really cool.

As far as these boots go, my Mom bought them for me a couple winters ago and I always used to fold them over whenever I wore them, which I thought made me sort of look like a pirate! But, after digging them out from storage, I started rocking them over the knee. This look has the potential to look cheesy or tacky, or Julia Roberts circa Pretty Woman. But, I think when styled correctly, sans fake patent leather, over the knee boots can look great. I know I am loving mine because they act as a great substitution for leggings or tights when it’s just chilly enough to still want something on your legs.
